The Bell

A bell, no matter which side you ring, always rings as a whole. People hear the bell, only know that the bell is loud and long, and never pay attention to the side that is knocking. The side that is often knocked is not convinced, it always wants to tell the world that the master is knocking on me, I am ringing. To prove this, one night it struggled to break the body of the bell so that the other three sides fell to the ground, only it is still hanging, it wants people to hear its voice. But it did not think that broken pieces of the bell, how you can strike, but also can not knock a loud sound. The master had to receive the pieces on the ground together and prepare to cast a new bell. In the cold wind, only it hangs on the tree alone, with no one to care about it, it seems extraordinarily cold.

Revelation: the bell sound is bright and long, is the result of all parts working together, leaving the body of the bell piece not have the function of the bell, to have, only with other pieces together, accept the test of fire, redo the "bell" to do.

Such a difference

Harvard University in the United States has done a very famous experiment. One year they are about to graduate from Harvard University, and a group of students on the life goals of the survey, the group students' intelligence, education, and environmental conditions are very different. The results of the survey were as follows: 3%, had clear and long-term goals; 10%, had clear but relatively short-term goals; 60%, had vague goals; and 27%, had no goals.

Twenty-five years later, Hopeford followed up with this group of students. The results were as follows: 3% of the students, who had worked tirelessly in one direction for 25 years, had become successful people in all walks of life, including many industry leaders and social elites; 10% of the students, who had achieved their short-term goals, had become professionals in various fields and lived mostly in the upper-middle class; 60% of the students, who lived and worked comfortably, but had no special achievements, resumed living in the lower-middle class. The remaining 27% of people have no goals in their lives and live very poorly, and often complain about others, about society, about the world that "does not give them a chance".

Revelation: ideal is the guiding star, without the ideal there is no direction to move forward; without a firm direction, there is no life. Will not be established, the world can not achieve anything.

The farmer who doesn't want to be paid gets paid

Fleming was a poor Scottish farmer. One day when he was working in the field, he heard a cry coming from nearby. He put down his farming tools and ran over to find a child who had fallen into a manure pit. Fleming saved the child from the brink of death. The next day a brand new carriage pulled up in front of the farmer's house and an elegant gentleman stepped out of it, introducing himself as the father of the rescued child. The gentleman said, "I want to repay you for saving my child's life." The farmer said, "I don't want to receive any payment for that." Just then, the farmer's son came from the hut and the gentleman asked, "Is this your son?" The farmer said, "Yes." The gentleman said, "Let's make a deal. Let me take him away and give him a good education. If he can be like his father, he will be a man you will be proud of in the future." The farmer agreed. Later, the farmer's son graduated from St. Mary's Medical School in England and became the world-famous Sir Fleming Alexander, the inventor of penicillin (penicillin). A few years later, the gentleman's son contracted pneumonia, and what saved his life? It was penicillin. Who was the gentleman? Churchill, a member of the British House of Lords. Who was his son? Sir Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister during the Second World War.

Revelation: The simple and kind Scottish farmer saved a man's life without asking for a reward, and did a good deed with his human instincts, which brought good opportunities to his child. And because of his child's achievement, he cured Sir Winston Churchill, the son of a gentleman, who later became the Prime Minister of World War II; a little kindness of an ordinary farmer could bring such a great change to the world.
