Kate BaggottPublished 4 years ago in EducationROLE OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN SUPPORTING THE ECOSYSTEM OF INNOVATION
It is often said and believed that education shapes the man into what he needs to be. Man forms groups and groups form communities. These communities can grow into able societies. If the basic unit i.e. man is not developed enough there is very little chance of yielding individuals that have innovation in their minds. This is because, at the initial educational stage, young minds are like blank papers. If these papers are utilized to think for themselves, they continue to become effective thinkers and better innovators. With initiatives taken by Stanford Online Classes, there has been much discussion on what makes the ablest minds.

Ricardo CalderonPublished 4 years ago in EducationDifference Between Content Marketing and Content Strategy
Content is basically all around us. No matter what we do, or where we go, we will find content around us. Wherever we go around the city, we will find words and phrases around us that are regarded as content. Be it advertisements or any billboard, there will always be content and phrases around us. Lewis RobinsonPublished 4 years ago in EducationThe crosshairs of today’s public education system: Remote learning and systemic racism
On March 12th, I officially began working from home, as did many Americans. The following day, Breonna Taylor, a 26-year old Black woman, was shot and killed while she slept when Louisville police ransacked and fired through her home. The week after, my teenage brother started remote learning when New York City public schools closed. While Breonna Taylor’s murder made local news, the rest of the nation carried on as the primary focus at the time was this new, remote learning. One county and city at a time, public schools shut down as the United States joined a national quarantine.

When you’re a child, you’re told to respect your elders, but what do you do when your elders don’t respect you? I grew up in one of the rougher Scarborough neighbourhoods where people got robbed, shot, stabbed and beat up regularly. My elementary school was in the heart of this neighbourhood, and the kids were tough so the teachers had to be tougher... or at least they tried.
Pros and Cons of Mainstream Schooling
Mainstream schools are meant to be a place that all children up to age 21 can learn. Students enrolled in these schools have varying levels of success. For some students, school is a place to get away from home, consistently have a meal, absorb anything and everything they can, or just make friends and become socialized, while for others it is uncomfortable, unhelpful, isolating, or a place that exposes them to negative influences. There are pros and cons to mainstream schools from teaching methods, to social aspects, to health and safety.

I love Goodreads Reading Challenges. I’ve been participating in them for two years now, and there are so many things I enjoy about them — how you can see all your books clearly, how you don’t feel alone because so many people take part in it, how Goodreads summarises your reading at the end of the year.
