Processing in Career (2)
For my understanding of screening and sorting theory, I had to figure out what that is referring to. I couldn't make the connection. Suffering the internet, I came across that it means the Theory of Screening, Education, and Distribution of Income. "If education provides information with skills, then it is providing a "commodity." If the market "fails,"; and the social returns differ from private performances, they have examined the market allocation of resources to education and the structure of the educational system, which would emerge from a simplified political process in a highly idealized setting." (Stiglitz, 1975).

Processing in Career
A sociologist uses many supportive statements for his evidence on the human capital model. In the following, I will explain how he uses the quotes to back up his testimony. “The number of graduates degrees also contuses to rise—masters’ have doubled since 1980 and record numbers are enrolled in master’s programs, a recent article in The New York Times reported” (Corrigall-Brown, 2016). I believe this opens the window to express why this is so important to making note that the sociologist is pressing onto a developing matter here. As he pitches the numbers in a fashion to grab the readers’ attention to the awakening factor of our developing world, it makes developing change to more education.

2020 The Pandemic Shutdown Class
I never new my last college experience would be one for the history books. I am legally blind and had struggled my first college experience and finished with a certificate. The fact that I was legally blind rendered me from getting employment for over 7 years, then I was doing a temporary job in the field I had a certificate in H VAC/R doing duct work. The employer I worked for found out I was a registered Technician and ask me why don t you go get your needed credentials for the field ? so I decided to check in to it and found out I could possibly get an Associates in Applied Science with H VAC/R as my program. I struggled the first semester with my eye and magnifications. Well then one of my instructors realized I could not see as well as most ,so he decided to help me with extra lighting and it helped not only with my seeing but my enthusiasm and confidence.I really wanted this so I could open a business in that field. I had barely passed all my classes and we had a break in between semesters. I went back for the rest of what I needed to graduate and was doing OK except for the math and psychology. I was really worried then all of a sudden out of no where the COVID 19 Virus hit and then the shutdown of all the colleges. I was in shock when I found out what now I can not go back then we were able to log in and do the courses on line . The online schedule for the classes was we had more than 3 weeks to catch up on man was that a shock. 5 full time classes on line and over 10 test and 50 assignments to do,I really panicked. I was not going to get my degree then I talked to the director of my program and instructors who talked to the dean. I was so uptight and praying about it then a miracle happened,I was contacted and they said they had adjusted my degree program and it was accepted and I would be receiving my degree. I was so excited and thanking all who were involved and God for the miracle and so I am a graduate of 2020 the class of the Pandemic Shutdown.

New Beginning
In 2016 I decided to go to college. It was something I hadn't accomplished yet and I wanted to do it but life kind of got in the way. So I moved to Florida with my kids and saw a commercial for Full Sail University. Yeah, there were other colleges I could have attended but Full Sail University offered online classes and that's what appealed to me. I'm Bipolar and have ADD, and claustrophobia and agoraphobia so a classroom setting was not ideal to my learning style.

Why Is Education So Important For Growing At Work?
Whether you’re fresh out of college and are pursuing your dream job, are middle-aged and deciding to make a career change or are simply looking to switch up the mundane routine of your life, congratulations! You are on your way to finding out what it is that you really want to do and are thinking about ways to achieve it. Although it can be scary and intimidating to consider starting from the bottom and working your way up in a fresh company, consider ways that you can advance yourself before even applying for your first job. Although experience speaks for itself in many real-life workplaces, the power of formal education in your field can help set you apart from every other applicant in the pool.
