REMINISCENCE OF THE SOUL OR RECOLLECTION OF THE MIND

Its quite amazing how the human mind works, one would think that its some sought of mysterious display of ideas. But most admittedly, ideas don't just come from nowhere there surely have a source. However, this source is unique and highly metaphysical in nature and connects the human mind through the soul. Now the question is; Where are these ideas from?; How did it come into contact with the mind or body(brain)?; Could it be that it existed before meeting the body?; How is the mind able to conceive knowledge or understand anything?. In any case, the vision of this conceptual ideology of reality, is to provide a logical response to the afore-posed questions to which therein is the bond of contention of my philosophy. To begin with, there has to be an existence of an ageless, eternal and intelligible Soul capable of existing in itself that is responsible for all the ideas that every other soul has. To this, the all knowable and ageless eternal soul is undoubtedly responsible for the existence of every soul beyond the physical. However, Parmenides ( An ancient Greek Presocratic thinker) "Out of nothing comes nothing (Ex nihilo nihil fitz)" . According to him, anything that exist already existed. Hence maintains that "Out of nothing comes nothing and if out of nothing comes something, then nothing most have been something for something to come out of it". This therefore affirms the existence of something(Soul) that is responsible for everything thing else ( every other soul). Thus, ideas in every soul comes from a supreme soul capable of being in itself, intelligible and eternal. However, from a religious perspective this Soul is believed to be an almighty God. Nonetheless, according to Plato's report from his master Socrates who maintains that, the meeting of the body and the soul is purely accidental and that, at death, the soul separates from the Evil body (capable of preventing or suppressing ideas from the soul that would possibly be recollected) since it has existed before accidentally meeting the body. To this, I personally Concord to this accidental meeting of the Soul with the body because it's rationally imbalance how a perfect and intelligible "immortal soul"(eternal) will be made to exist in a selfish, weak and imperfect "mortal body"(capable of dieing). Again, I maintain it's an accident. Thus the soul existed before it's meeting with the body(mind) Furthermore, through the process of recollection ( reminiscence of the soul), the mind is capable of remembering and understanding ideas from the soul. In line with this, Socrates once held that knowledge is in-born( idea of the soul) and through the dialectics ( questioning approach) and midwifery methods of delivering knowledge, the mind recollects from the soul( an act of reminiscence) thus bringing out any knowledge from every human. This is as such because, to know means you must've known and just need recollection of the ideas. However, it's impossible to know what in itself was not known. Again, if out of nothing comes something then it already was. To through more light, Everything that is known or can be known most have been known of which through recollection or reminiscence, the mind is carefully and consciously able to conceive knowledge. For example; A child ( he that is blank) will never understand the basic mathematical concept such as "1+1=2" if they was no such previous understanding of it before now, Because undoubtedly, knowing is a science of recollection actively by the mind. Moreover, if the child is able to conceive and understand such knowledge, then he most have understood before now but only need to be helped by a teacher to recollect therein the understanding once again. Now, but most significantly, it may interest one to find out why recollection or reminiscence differs from person to person or why knowing is not even; Well, it's easy to say it's because of influence of the evil body and other external evidence like culture, location, or religious beliefs etc but most prominently it's because of the inability of the mind to recollect well from the soul as a result of the selfish body which influence the ability of the soul to carry on recollection of which it could vary from persons to persons in different locations. Nevertheless, its Worth everything for every critical mind ( philosophers or philosophy students) to understand the importance of this concept as it portrays the possibility of one having a fuller explanation of things which can be achievable only when the soul escapes the evil body. Hence , just like Socrates once held, " Every philosopher must love death" because it permits every soul to be liberated from the evil body's influence; so that every knowledge can be attained; for knowledge is power and more in every reality. Even more, Rene Descartes once held that his existence is held by the power to think("Cogito ergo surm") of which in this very act of thinking, the mind traverse through to uphold and affirm we are!
