Learning the Quran

The Holy Quran is the divine book in Islam, revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) 1400 years ago. The divine book is the ultimate guide for humanity for all time. It is not specific to a country, an era, or a nation; rather, it is revealed for all humanity until the end of this world. The holy Quran contains the holy words of God, guiding and commanding His people on how they should live their lives.

Learning and constantly reciting the Holy Quran for all Muslims is a responsibility and a spiritual practice. Muslims usually teach their children to recite the Quran at a young age so that they can learn it with ease and understand its message and apply it in their lives. Learning the Holy Quran is a spiritual act, and it builds a strong bond with the Quran and its hidden treasure. The non-Arab Muslims find it very difficult to read the Quran, as they are not aware of the Arabic language. Therefore, this problem is addressed by the inclusion of Tajweed, which governs the rules of Quran recitation.

What is the Tajweed

Tajweed is the grammar of the Arabic language via which the learning Holy Quran becomes effortless. The Tajweed is the rules of pronunciation of each Quranic letter and their soundings. Not only the pronunciation, but also the rules of how to connect letters and what sound they get after the mixing of two or more letters. There are some signs that when they come on the letters, the soundings become altered. That's why learning the Quran with Tajweed is essential.

Shia Yassarnal Quran

It is the preliminary guide, usually designed for kids, that guides beginners about the correct ways of pronunciation and the sounds of each letter. Kids are often enrolled in this course so that they are well aware of the basic Arabic text rules before moving towards learning the Quran. Shia Qaida is the first course to learn for beginners, but those who know a little bit about Arabic grammar (Tajweed) do not need to enroll in this course.

In today's world, learning the Quran while maintaining worldly affairs has become a huge challenge to all Muslims. Going to traditional seminaries and spending many hours there does not conform to their work schedule. This challenge is largely faced by Muslims living in the US, UK, Canada, and European countries where traditional seminaries are hard to find. Parents fear their children may digress from the real path of Islam, and they might be brainwashed by other religious entities.
