Increase Your Financial IQ Review & The Little Book of Common Sense Investing Review

It is time to review two more books that will help you on your way to financial success and they are Increase Your Financial IQ (Intelligence Quotient) by Robert Kiyosaki and The Little Book of Common Sense Investing by John Bogle. If you want to invest or become an investor and build wealth you must educate yourself first and these books plus the books, I have recommended in previous stories are essential. I highly recommend these books.

The first book is Increase Your Financial IQ by Robert Kiyosaki. Mr. Kiyosaki explains how he became a real estate investor and will suggest that you take classes on rea estate investing and of course start small. Mr. Kiyosaki will explain how he got loans to get his properties without any risks to himself. If you want to learn about why you need to invest in more than paper assets ten this a book for you. With everything there is risk, but the greatest risk is doing nothing.

In Increase Your Financial IQ you will also learn how the United States dollar is losing value due to Richard Nixon taking the United States off the gold standard. Both Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan made our monetary system unstable, and you will learn about that in this book. I enjoyed Mr. Kiyosaki’s explanation hos he is neither a Republican, Democrat, nor any other ideology because I am with him on that. We need capitalism to create innovative ideas, but we also need Socialism to keep it Capitalism under control. After reading, Increase Your Financial IQ, you will learn that the dollar is currency which means it must keep moving to have value. Saving no longer helps because of inflation. The United States went from being a creditor nation to a debtor nation and you will also learn the difference between good debt and bad debt. I particularly liked when Mr. Kiyosaki states, “Democrat's tax and spend and Republicans borrow and spend.”

Increase your Financial IQ is highly informative and easy to read. Mr. Kiyosaki does repeat some of the information from his other books and he explains he writes whenever he needs money for an investment. Therefore, it is best not to purchase all his books, but it will not hurt you if you do and I may purchase a few more.

John Bogle is considered by some to be a financial wizard. In his book, The Little Book of Common-Sense Investing, he will explain what Index Funds always beats mutual funds. John Bogle will also explain that if you plan to invest in the stock market then index funds is the way to go. Like the previous book I mentioned, The Little Book of Common-Sense Investing is an easy read with a lot of information you will find useful. John Bogle brilliantly breaks down how to invest and why you should choose index funds.

In Increase Your Financial IQ, you will learn why putting your money in the bank is a bad idea. It will be eaten up by inflation. . I hope you decide to check these books out and I would also like to recommend a work of fiction that I believe is important and goes along with your financial well-being. That book, I recommend is, The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. You will read about an immigrant named Jurgis who comes to America with his family and is thrust into poverty and exploitation by the factories of Chicago. In the end Jurgis becomes a Socialist. As I have mentioned, I am not a socialist or can I fit in any category, but my personnel opinion is that we need a balance between Socialism and Capitalism.
