The Passion Book Review

One of the most famous novels by British novelist Janet Winterson is "The Passion", published in 1987. "The Passion" is one of the 100 most influential novels in the world published by BBC News on 5 November 2019. The novel tells the story of a young man in 1805, who was a soldier in Napoleon's army and took charge of Napoleon's lord. The novel won the John Llewellyn Rice Award.

After the novel was published and sold out, Winterson quit his job and became a full-time writer. Although it was a nominal historical novel, the author used various techniques to explain the historical context in the novel and independently gave the novel a historiographic metaphysical form. The novel develops a broad concept of emotion, love, and sex.
