First Week Of Remote Learning Review

How online schooling is

My town decided to shut down all schools for two weeks as the county started to get increasingly infected by COVID-19. The journey so far has been very easy. Nothing new, nothing complicated, but staying self-quarantine for a long time gets pretty boring. So let's begin on my first week of remote learning.

Work is very EASY!

The work so far has been very easy. Even though I have 8 assignments a day (1 from each class) the work given is very easy and no stress is needed. All the answers are online and I didn't even have to ask my friends for the answers because they were so easy, but of course they asked me for the answers because they don't know how to search up simple question :/

For the first week I have to say, this is a great way to get your grades up. The assignments take approximately 10 minutes to finish each and most were due by midnight. So, I didn't have to wake up at 6:00 am (Thank the Lord). So I usually woke up at 9:00 am and finished my work at around 11:00 am. The work done was very simple and easy.

No Friends To Engage With

I have to be honest, it's pretty hard not to miss your friends and get bored out of your mind because it's just you. That also depends on who's in your family. I have 2 sisters and it's a pain in the but. My parents don't like to play anything. I can't go to the gym, which is my favorite thing in the world. There are no board games for all of us to play. We're literally in the internet 24/7. Each of us spend our time differently. My sisters watch youtube videos and I'm doing hundreds of different things. As I said, it's a pain in the but.

Having no friends to engage with could also make life better. You don't get to see some annoying people that you wish you would never see. There are way less problems that occur. You might not see the teachers you hate the most (my favorite part). You miss your friends more. This is a good think because you see your friends almost everyday. Social distancing in totaling hasn't been the best, but it's liveable.

More Time

Now instead of having to spend 8 hours in school, you will only spend 2-3 hours. The best part is that these count as school days. So, no summer school! Then you have all the time in the world. You might play games all day, watch videos, read a book, etc.. Whatever your desire is you can do. If you're not using your time in productive things you're most likely going to feel like crap. One of the best things to do is write blogs on my favorite platform vocal.media.

All you have to do is starting writing things you're interested in then the whole world could start seeing your stories. It's very fun. Start playing some board games, buy a book, buy an online course. Don't strain yourself into just playing video games because you're not going to feel good. Go outside, get some fresh air. Do as much as you can to keep yourself busy. Everything productive you do, it will only make you better. So, use your time responsibly.

More Responsibility

If you're the oldest of the siblings and your parents don't know much. Then you're going to be responsible for their work. This is much more stressful then finishing your own work because you have to be a student and a teacher. I recommend finishing your work first, then helping your siblings. Their work is mostly on paper so please be organized or else you're going to get very stressed. Have fun with them, give them breaks, tell them compliments. Do as much as you can to not get them bored. They're too young to understand what's going on, but they still feel the stress and anxiety from you and your parents. Most importantly, DO NOT multitask. You're going to get confused out of your mind and get stressed even more. Take everything one step at a time. If your teacher posted your assignments for the next days early, then it might be best to do it at night so you could finish your siblings work earlier the next day. These are very important to know to go along with the new normal for most likely the end of the year.

No Sports

During times like these we rely on sports to help us with stress, but school sports players are going to have to get creative with their training as almost all gyms are closed or will close. Schools will close or are closed. All sports are officially postponed. So, what do you do now? Work on speed. This is the one thing that you don't need any material for. Train your legs by running, jogging, and various different exercises. Also, study the game and get better. Knowledge is very important in sports, so use this time to study the game and get better.

Conclusion

Overall, it's going to be easy to get your work, but not easy if you have many other responsibilities. Teachers are trying not to give you hard work. They will keep it simple and straightforward. If you don't understand something. Ask your friends or search it up. There is a lot to do, use your time wisely and have fun remote learning. Trust me it's not as bad. As a student you will get past it, and it should be a breeze. Just get your work done as soon as possible. That's all I've learned from remote learning on my first week. If you enjoyed my writing, a tip would be much appreciated to help through the tough time.
