What Is CSIR NET Exam ?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test to determine the eligibility of applicants for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor posts in Indian universities and colleges. Also called CSIR NET.

CSIR NET is a national level examination conducted twice a year. This examination is taken in the months of June and December.

CSIR NET Eligibility-

Candidates must fulfil all the requirements of CSIR NET Eligibility 2023 to appear in the upcoming examination. The eligibility criteria have been released by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test on the official website. Only those candidates who satisfy the requirements can register for CSIR NET 2023

To be eligible for NTA CSIR NET, candidates belonging to General, General-EWS and OBC categories must have M.Sc. Must have or equivalent degree, an integrated BS-MS, BS-4-year degree, a BE, a B.Tech, or MBBS with at least 55% marks.

if you want to do research fellowship, then the age limit is 30 years. But if you are appearing for Assistant Professor then there is no age limit.

CSIR NET Exam Syllabus-

The syllabus of CSIR NET exam is very easy. This examination is conducted in all languages and subjects. Candidates can choose the language and subject as per their choice. In this, examinations of subjects like Environment, Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Earth Sciences etc. are also taken. Candidates can choose their favourite subject and appear for the paper. CSIR NET Exam Pattern 2023–

CSIR NET Exam Pattern is quite different from other exams because this exam is for lectureship and professorship. Their information is given in March and September. There are two question papers in this examination, which are of 300 marks. In this, the first question paper has 50 questions and each question has 2 marks, meaning the first paper is of 100 marks, one hour is given to solve it and in the second question paper, 100 questions are asked and Each question has 2 marks, that is, the second question paper is of 200 marks and the time given to you is 2 hours.

In this, in the first paper, 50 questions related to General Aptitude are asked and in the second paper, questions related to the subject selected by the candidate are aske.

How to prepare for CSIR Net Exam-

CSIR NET exam is different from other exams, you can prepare for it by following the steps given below.

The most important thing to pass any exam is the exam syllabus, so first of all study the exam syllabus and understand it well.

To pass the exam, prepare a list of all the subjects and after preparing the list, study each subject as per the time.

Make notes well so that it becomes easy for you to understand.

Take the papers of last 5 years, solve them and study them and see from which subject more questions come.
