It is the 4-year full-time course. It can be confusing for many students to choose a career after engineering. After all, this world is full of opportunities.

So, here are some career options for engineering students.

1. MBA

After Engineering, most students chose to study management. Studying Management helps a student to get high- paying jobs with lots of responsibility and exposure. To get admission in a good MBA college, student has to clarify CAT (Common Aptitude Test). It is the most popular exam for engineering. If a student get high score in it then he will get admission in one of the best business school that is IIMs. MBA is the perfect option to reach the top position in the corporate world. After completing MBA one can get managerial roles. One can specialize in the field of Digital Marketing, Sales, and International Relations.

2. Higher study in engineering

To pursue further studies, higher studies is the most popular career option after engineering. An engineering student can prepare for GATE exam. GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. After cracking this entrance one can get best engineering colleges. Other than GATE, one can also prepare for JAM. An engineering student can expand his knowledge and become a more qualified engineer. By preparing for JAM, one can also enter academic and research in field of engineering. With higher studies, engineering student can also do Ph.D. in the area of interest.

3. Entrepreneurship

Many engineers achieved a lot in the field of entrepreneurship. After graduation, one can start his/her entrepreneurship journey. Patience is must for an entrepreneur, but the returns are priceless. There are many resources for budding entrepreneur. Student can join a start-up incubator and get a head start for their company. There are so many problems in field of entrepreneurship, thus patience is must for a fresher.

If a student aspire to do something for nation or to serve the nation, or he wants to make a dent in the system he can choose civil service. After B. Tech it is one of the best career paths for students. For Civil services, students will have to clear the UPSC exam which is one of the toughest exam in the world. According to experts, students should prepare for at least one year before applying for exam. If a student succeeds in this exam then he will get higher post like IAS, IPS, etc.

5. Armed Forces

A number of engineers are recruited by Army forces every year. It is the best option for engineers to serve the nation with a respectable employment.

6. Merchant Navy

Merchant Navy require someone who deals with the infrastructure development. Therefore, engineers can apply in this field, as well as, it is a better option. Merchant Navy are very reputed and high- paying jobs. For hard-working people, opportunities exist in navigation.

7. Teaching

Teaching is also a good option for engineering students. Those who were like academics, they can join an engineering college as a professor. To grow one's professional life, teaching profession gives ample of opportunities. There can also be an additional source of earning that is one can give coaching classes to those students who are doing engineering.

So these are the different career options for engineering students. Engineering requires hard work and full dedication as well as intelligence.
