A student's parents broke the news that their son fell to his death in school because he was playing with his cell phone, sparking concern.

According to the parents, their son was studying in a senior high school in Rizhao, and at around 23:10 on the night of April 13, his son was found playing with his cell phone in the school dormitory by the school grade teacher, who asked him to hand in his cell phone, and he said he would do so tomorrow, and the teacher left after asking his name. However, my son fidgeted, got up and put on his clothes, and said to his classmates, "It's over, I can't go to school tomorrow", and repeated this phrase over and over again. A classmate in the same dorm comforted his son, saying, "It's okay, the teacher doesn't necessarily remember what happened last time.

The parents said that at 23:52, their son wandered in the dormitory corridor and was persuaded by the teacher to return to the dormitory, and since then the teacher did not pay any attention to him, nor did he do any psychological counseling or guidance.

March 14, 2:17 am, the son out of the dormitory, towards the stairs, 2:31 also appear the monitoring of the son's figure, during which the son had been wandering in the hallway, and finally at 3:23 am fell to his death.

The parents believe that the reason why their son fell because the son has been punished by the school once before for playing with the phone, this is the second time the son played with the phone was checked, according to the school's "red line yellow line" system, the son was caught playing with the phone twice, according to the school system to be dismissed. The reason why my son is so worried and scared is that there were classmates who never came back to school after being checked twice for playing with their cell phones.

The parents raised several questions.

1. Is the school violating the parents' right to know and decide? So far there has been no statement from the parents!

The son was found at 4:55 a.m., 120 arrived at 5:15 a.m., and the police arrived at 5:29 a.m., while the parents were notified by phone at 7:40 a.m. to go to the funeral home before they learned that their son had fallen to his death. Shouldn't the student's family have been notified at this time? Shouldn't the parents have this right to know? And the right to decide?

2. The son could have had a hope of survival, all because of the school's inadequate safety facilities and improper supervision.

The grade teacher checked the room around 23:10 on the 13th and found the son playing with his cell phone. From 23:55-3:23, the son wandered the hallway for more than two hours and then fell down the stairs, may I ask if there is anyone in the school monitoring room? If someone is doing? Is there a guardian? If there is a guardian and what is he doing? Also, the school's windows are not protected.

3. The school's rules are unreasonable.

Children go to school to receive education, and all the rules and regulations of the school, the school is unilateral to restrain, and control children, and there is no school education policy or education measures. Students are just children and need the right education and guidance from their teachers. What is education? What is education? Education is purposeful, planned, and organized activity to influence the mind and body of the educated according to the requirements of a certain society (or class), and to develop them into the people needed by a certain society (or class). As a school, did it do that?

Parents say their son is excellent.

My son is usually honest, and his teachers and classmates have a very good impression of him as a big, sunny, kind boy. In January 2019, he also participated in the eleventh secondary school students in mathematics, science, and chemistry subject ability demonstration activities, won the second prize in Shandong eighth grade mathematics, won the "discipline pacesetter", "three good students" "She has also received various awards since she was in elementary school.

The parents' request.

The only son is gone, and the family grief, the son fell dead so far the family is still immersed in grief, difficult to extricate themselves, and can not accept the reality. At present, the son's body is still being stored in the funeral home, and I hope the school will give a statement and deal with this matter as soon as possible so that the child can be put to rest.

Another student fell to his death because he was caught playing with his cell phone by the school! There are just too many tragedies that happen because of students playing with their cell phones. Understandably, a young teenager disappears like this, and parents find it difficult to accept reality and are understandably grief-stricken. At the same time, parents of other students are warned that higher education departments have long explicitly disallowed students to bring their cell phones into school, and schools today can say that almost all have rules against bringing cell phones into school. Since schools have rules against students bringing cell phones into school, parents should actively cooperate with the school, supervise their children, and instruct them to abide by the school rules and discipline. The reason why there are so many students playing with cell phones is a tragedy, in addition to some teachers mishandled, many aspects of parents are the reason, some parents see their children as too petulant and want to play with the phone on it, and some parents are unable to control the child had to listen to it, some parents know that their children bring cell phones to school but pretend not to see only to contact convenience, etc. There are too many things that happen to students because of cell phone problems, and each one of them is a shocking lesson in blood, so parents should take this as a warning and deal with the problem of their children bringing cell phones to school.

As for the school's "red line" and "yellow line" rules and regulations, a closer look at the school's requirements and penalties, and did not find some of the more out-of-the-ordinary places, are some of the regular requirements for students, but also almost all schools have similar The rules and regulations. As a school, teaching and educating people, shouldering the important task of training students to become adults, there are no rules that do not make a circle, there must be rules and regulations to regulate the behavior of students, and there must be some disciplinary measures to warn students. High school is no longer compulsory education, as for the school regulations "students playing with cell phones twice to be dismissed" is not excessive, is not out of line, open to question. However, the teacher who found students playing with cell phones is still more humane, and did not forcibly charge students' cell phones, but agreed to the next day the students took the initiative to turn in their phones, only to write down the names of students did not continue to pursue, this treatment is still worthy of recognition.

Campus in the general promotion of video surveillance, burglar alarm, and security-oriented technical preventive measures, is an important element in the construction of the school security prevention and control system. Communication room duty staff can monitor multiple sites through the computer screen, while once an abnormal situation occurs, the system will immediately alarm and automatically record the scene to the system to retrieve the replay afterward. School monitoring should not have a duty officer to keep an eye on the monitoring, pending official certification.

Shouldn't school windows and corridors be equipped with protective nets? The Fire Services Law has explicit provisions: crowded places are public gathering places, hospital outpatient buildings, ward buildings, school buildings, libraries, cafeterias and group dormitories, nursing homes, welfare homes, nurseries, kindergartens, reading rooms in public libraries, public exhibition halls, museums, labor-intensive enterprises, production and processing workshops, and staff dormitories, tourism, religious Activity places, etc.". In summary, dormitories and classrooms in primary and secondary schools and kindergartens are densely populated places, and should not be equipped with burglar-proof nets.

For the safety of teachers and students, to prevent accidents, teaching buildings, dormitories, including other student activities, to increase the protection network is of course necessary to prevent problems before they occur. But to improve the overall level of campus safety management, the same need for comprehensive management, both the symptoms and the root cause of the problem, not headaches, foot pains, no problems do not pay attention to the problem simplistic treatment, the need for a combination of technology and human defense.

Of course, grasping the student psychological counseling, playing the role of each school's psychological counseling room, concern for key students, and the problem of individual psychological guidance is also very important.
