Why explore outer planets and aliens? To reflect and thus avoid the same catastrophe on Earth

To explore the causes of alien planets and aliens

When night falls, do you look up at the stars? Looking at the bright stars and stars, do you ever wonder if there are aliens on other planets in the universe? Everyone has curiosity. Although their curiosity is different, I believe that curiosity about the universe and aliens is more or less present. It just depends on whether there is sustained interest. If aliens are proven to exist one day, I believe it will still shock everyone.

I'm still interested in aliens, but not as passionate as the fans. When relevant content comes up, I click in to see it. When I have nothing to do, I also search for relevant information. So it's in a state of receiving all sorts of information, but it's never been systematically scientifically understood.

Last year I was lucky enough to come across a book that is worth reading, especially for those interested in the universe and aliens. The book is Starlight: Alien Worlds and the Fate of Earth by Adam Frank.

Let me start by introducing some of Adam Frank. He is a professor of astrophysics and author at the University of Rochester. His work focuses on the later stages of star formation and evolution. It also includes studies of exoplanetary atmospheres and the general response of planets to the evolution of energy-intensive civilizations. He has absolute expertise in the study of the universe and aliens.

In his book Starlight: Alien Worlds and the Fate of Earth, Adam Frank presents a very scientific approach to human research on exoplanets and aliens to date. The content is also easy to understand and not as hard to follow as reading a thesis. Anyone can learn about aliens through this book. With the science in this book, it will be easier to understand when you look at other related knowledge.

The first chapter describes the important process of human exploration of aliens to date. This includes the Fermi paradox, which I have told you about before, and the Drake equation, which I did not explain at the time. These paradoxes and equations represent the gradual process of human knowledge of aliens, from ignorance to reasoned derivation, and demonstrate how difficult it has been for scientists along the way.

Chapter 2 describes Venus and Mars, some of the circumstances surrounding the human exploration of Venus and Mars, and also analyze the climates of Venus and Mars. By comparing Venus and Mars with Earth, it is also concluded that their climates operate by the same mechanisms. It also explores whether Venus and Mars are habitable. Ultimately, we also get the dilemma that climate through other planets would give us.

Here, Adam Frank gives a perspective that I never thought of. The study of the outer planets is actually for our own sake, and for the sake of the Earth. Earth is also a planet, and planets have things in common. Finding what other planets and Earth have in common might help the planet avoid some harm. For alien research, finding them is not just about proving that humans are not alone, but also about hoping that they will reflect and prevent humans from going down a path that is detrimental to them.

I have to say that this perspective was probably the most important point I took away while reading this book. It's a perspective that the vast majority of people ignore or don't expect. Because we are just curious, but we don't care.

The book has six chapters. The last four chapters deal with the origin of Earth's atmosphere, biological origins, Gaia theory and Earth system science, the archaeology of extraterrestrial civilizations, the Kardashev level, etc., and vario, speculations about aliens and extraterrestrial civilizations. I loved it at the time and read it chapter by chapter. I'm sure you're like me and can't wait to finish the book.

After reading this book, you will know how far scientists have gone scientifically to study aliens, with a solid foundation. You may see all sorts of alien-related claims online, but those are never our personal experiences, so it's hard to determine if they are true or not. Human research will continue, and our curiosity will always be there. Maybe one day we can meet aliens face to face, but not now!
