As the world slowly starts to open up again, I'm sure we're all eager to explore some new places this year. So, here's my top 10 places to visit in 2023! Whether it's the fjords of Norway or the wonders of Patagonia, I'm sure you'll be able to find a safe and exciting destination to explore. Let's kick things off with the Portuguese island of Madeira, located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa. Madeira has been known as the Hawaii of Europe and after visiting it, I can definitely see why. From swimming in Punta del Sol to hiking up Pico do Arieiro, there's plenty of activities to do.

Heading up to Western Norway, you'll find the iconic Geirangerfjord. This fjord is home to the Seven Sisters Waterfall, which cascades over 410 meters. Don't forget to visit Skagafjall, a historic mountain farm perched on a cliff near the fjord. You can also check out the stunning Lake Lovatnet and its turquoise water.

Venturing over to Africa, Namibia is a must-visit destination. The Namib Desert is full of massive orange sand dunes and is home to some of Africa's most iconic wildlife. Don't miss out on the Deadvlei claypan with its ancient trees, or the iconic Spitzkoppen granite mountain. And if you want to see some African wildlife, the Etosha National Park is a great spot!

Continuing on, the Seychelles is a tropical archipelago made up of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean. Don't miss Anse Source d'Argent, one of the world's most pristine beaches. Or head over to the island of Mahé, the largest island in the archipelago and the home of Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles.

Heading down to South America, Patagonia is an incredible region located in both Chile and Argentina. One of the most famous places in Patagonia is Torres del Paine, a national park full of wildlife. It's also home to the iconic Fitzroy mountain range, one of the most beautiful mountains in the world.

Crossing back over to Europe, Ireland is a magical country full of dramatic coastlines and enchanting history. Don't miss out on the Great Skellig Island, a monastic settlement which was featured in the Star Wars movies. And don't forget to visit the Cliffs of Moher, which rise up over 214 meters above the sea.

Heading over to Italy, Tuscany is one of the most iconic regions in the world. San Gimignano and its watchtowers is a must-visit. If you want to see some of Tuscany's countryside, Val d'Orcia is a great spot. And don't forget the city of Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance.

Crossing the ocean over to New Zealand, this country is full of adventure and crazy landscapes. The South Island is home to the Southern Alps, where Mount Cook stands tall. The Milford Sound is also a must-visit, a fjord full of rainforests and magical waterfalls.

Finally, don't forget to visit Japan. This country was one of the last to open up for tourism but is now open, making it the perfect place to visit in 2023. Tokyo is the largest city in the world, and Mount Fuji offers one of the most incredible views of the sacred volcano.
