The walking clouds, they dance above
Round and white, like feathered doves
Softly moving, with grace and ease
Through the sky, like a gentle breeze

Above the earth, they float so high
A welcome sight, to any eye
Their beauty is beyond compare
As they drift, without a care

Some say they rain, when they grow dark
Others see them as a work of art
The walking clouds, they do so much
From bringing life, to calming touch

They cast their shadows, on the ground below
For moments, they darken, then they glow
Like a blanket, over the sky they spread
A sight that's often seen, but never said

Oh, walking clouds, how you inspire
To dream, to soar, to reach for higher
You teach us to be gentle, yet strong
To rise above, and carry on

So here's to you, the walking clouds
Forever drifting, without a sound
May your beauty, always be known
And forever seen, as you roam.

The walking clouds, they remind us of the magic of the skies. They are nature’s gentle giants, floating above us like cotton candy spun out of pure white wool. As they gracefully pass overhead, they inspire us to look up, to dream, to imagine, and to be curious about the world around us.

They seem to dance across the sky, flickered through with bright slices of sun and grey folds of shadow. Their shapes can be whimsical, with some so fluffy they resemble giant pillows that we could lie down on and drift away into the heavens. And at other times, they come so low, thick and dark that they look like they might touch the ground and smother everything in darkness.

There’s a kind of wonder that comes with watching the walking clouds. They bring with them the promise of rain, some would say, but to others, they are simply beacons of beauty. They have the power to reveal a sense of serenity and calm, perhaps because they move so slowly across the horizons. And when they are caught in a sunset, they explode with color, becoming an wash of orangy-reds and purples, before disappearing into the twilight.

The walking clouds seem to invite us to breath more deeply, to find a sense of peace or to engage us in quiet contemplation. They are a reminder that our lives aren’t always busy or stressful, but that there is a balance to the world, one where we can stop and simply allow ourselves to be in the moment, let our mind drift off and watch them pass overhead.

In essence, the walking clouds are a beautiful metaphor for life itself - they are fleeting, yet incredibly powerful, gentle but sometimes fierce. They are a source of wonder, and their presence reminds us of the power and beauty of the natural world.
