ROUTES WILL END, NO END FOR JOURNEYS.........

When the steam engine was created for the first time in the early 19th century, trains and rail routes began to exist. Richard Trevithick of England created the first steam locomotive in 1804, which was utilised to transport iron ore from mines to processing facilities.

The Stockton and Darlington Railway in northeastern England opened its doors in 1825, but the first passenger train was not constructed until the 1820s. Steam engines were utilised on this railroad to move both people and cargo.

The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, which started running in 1828, was the nation's first passenger railroad. Railways gained more and more significance for industry, trade, and transportation during the ensuing decades.

The railway business underwent a number of key technological advancements in the middle of the 19th century, including the invention of the telegraph, which made communication over railroad lines quicker and more effective. A significant turning point in the development of rail transportation was the completion of the US transcontinental railroad in 1869.

In many parts of the world at the turn of the 20th century, trains were the main form of transportation for both people and commodities. The development of new industries and the expansion of cities were made possible by the railways, which also contributed to the transformation of the world economy.

Railways still play a significant role in transportation today, connecting cities and towns with high-speed trains, freight trains, and commuter trains.

 "A MAN Talks about Rivers"

I've encountered rivers

I've known rivers that are older than the planet and as old as the

blood circulating through human veins.

Like rivers, my spirit has grown deep.

When dawns were yet young, I took a bath in the Euphrates.

I constructed my hut next to the Congo, which helped me fall asleep.

I raised my gaze to the pyramids as I observed the Nile.

When Abe Lincoln was in office, I heard the Mississippi singing.

I visited New Orleans and saw how dirty it was.

As dusk falls, bosoms turn a golden colour.

I've encountered rivers

dark, ancient rivers.

Like rivers, my spirit has grown deep.

This poem explores the notion that our relationship with nature and history is intricately entwined, and that traveling by train allows us to experience that connection in a unique and powerful way. The imagery of the rivers evokes a sense of timelessness and continuity, while the narrator's sense of deepening understanding and connection suggests the transformative power of the journey itself.
