Reduce Reuse and Recycle! When it comes to the importance of the 3R’s; everyone should know about the things you need to do to help save the planet.

Reduce Reuse and Recycle – What to Recycle?

In the first place, we are all familiar with reducing, reusing, and recycling. However, many of us have become lax in following them. So, are you ready to up your recycling game?

When most of us think about recycling; are you putting these things in the proper bin? For instance, how many glass jars, paper items, and plastic things end up in the right place?

So, here’s the info you need to put everything in the right place.

If you have a jar with jam or peanut butter; you should rinse with warm water and make sure you rinse any residue. Next, reuse these jars for other food items or decorative home items.

Meanwhile, everyone has plastic bottles and cartons. Make sure you put these in a recycling bin that your city or town has marked on the bins. And, if something doesn’t say which one your city or town takes; it is best to skip putting these items in a bin.

Though it is confusing to know the best way to recycle; these are a few things you should know to help our planet

Did you know it is best to crush your plastic bottle before putting it in the bin? So, the reason you should do this is so the bottle caps don’t shoot up when they are crushed.

Another tip is if you have a bunny rabbit; you can use water bottles to cool them down by filling up the bottle, freezing it, and setting the bottles in the rabbit hutches. Also, this tip works well with puppies too!

Also, plastic bags end up getting tossed. Instead, use these as trash bags or give them to a grocery store where there is usually a collection bin.

Meanwhile, recycling saves money.

Recycle what’s left; and recycle right!

Reduce Reuse and Recycle – What to reduce?

When it comes to Earth Day; it’s essential to start by reducing waste. For instance, if you are going to the grocery store, farmers market or to a flea market; bring your own bag.

Of course, one way to reduce waste is not to create it in the first place.

Since plastic is everywhere; start with a few simple things. For instance, you can start by substituting plastic containers with mason jars.

Each jar comes with a self-sealing air tight lid as well as chalkboard labels which makes it easy for you to find whatever you are looking for.

In addition, this set comes with 6, 8 ounce jars.

In addition to reusing products; this is a lot easier than you think. For instance, if there are items you use all the time; clean them and reuse.

Also, you can reuse old items you have. And, if you have appliances, clothing or things you no longer need or use; you can donate them to a charitable organization.
