In a tree in the forest, there is a bird's nest with a bird's egg inside. The bird's father and mother loved and cared for it day and night, and it finally hatched a lovely chick. With the addition of a new member to the family, the nest became a bit crowded, so the family moved away, leaving only half of the eggshell in the empty nest.

One day, the little eggshell opened its eyes, but there was no one around it. It wanted to leave but found itself in a tall tree, where it would fall and break into pieces if it was not careful. Thinking that he might be alone in this nest for the rest of his life, the little eggshell couldn't help but cry out.

At this time, a little squirrel happened to pass by, heard the cry and came over, saw the crying eggshell and asked, "Little eggshell, why are you crying here?"

When the little eggshell saw that someone was finally paying attention to him, but he could not stop crying for a while, he choked up and replied, "I was born as a child who was not wanted, and I feel very lonely!"

The little squirrel said comfortingly, "Don't cry, don't cry, let me be your friend."

The little eggshell asked curiously, "Friend? What's that?"

The little squirrel thought about it and said, "It's someone who can help each other and overcome hardships together."

The little eggshell was still sad: "But look at me, I have no hands and no feet, so there must be no way to help others, so I must not have friends!"

The squirrel shook his head and said, "No, you can help many, many people if you want."

Saying that the little squirrel gently took the small eggshell and put it on his head, just like a helmet.

The little squirrel smiled and said, "Look, isn't this helping me? I was worried, today is a sunny day, the sun is hot if the direct sun is not comfortable. I put you on my head so that you help me block the sun, really helped!"

The little eggshell then realized that he could help others, and finally broke into tears. So the little squirrel put on the little eggshell and went for a walk together. As they walked, they came to a small river and met a group of ants. The ants were very anxious because they were in a hurry to go home, but they were blocked by the creek.

The squirrel said to the little eggshell, "Now it's time for you to show your skills!"

The squirrel gently put the eggshell into the river and it floated on the water, turning into a boat. Then the little eggshell invited the ants to get into its shell and floated toward the other side, sending them to the other side.

After saying goodbye to the ants, the squirrel and the eggshell continued to walk forward, and soon they came across a small rabbit who fainted on the roadside. The squirrel rushed up to check the situation, it turned out that the rabbit had heatstroke. The squirrel put the rabbit in the shade under the tree, and then went to the river and used the eggshell as a bowl, scooped up a bowl of water and gave the rabbit water to drink.

After a while, the little rabbit finally came to his senses and saw that the little squirrel had helped him, so he said thank you to the little squirrel.

The squirrel smiled and said, "Actually, the biggest contributor is the little eggshell."

After listening to the squirrel tell the whole story, the little rabbit also said thank you to the little eggshell.

In this way, the little squirrel and the little eggshell helped many small animals in the forest, and everyone was willing to be friends with them. Although they had more and more friends, Little Eggshell thought that his best friend would always be Squirrel.
