When the fisherman got home, he put the snipe and the mussel in the basket, covered them, and went to bed. After saying this, the snipe pecked holes in the lid of the basket with its sharp beak, and the mussel used its hard shell to push against the lid of the basket. As the mussel hit, the hole in the basket lid became bigger and bigger, and the snipe and mussel escaped through the hole.
