Using female mice with hysterectomy, they found that the pathological characteristics and cognitive impairment of mice were alleviated when anti-FSH antibodies were used to reduce the concentration of FSH in the blood or to inhibit the binding of FSH to its receptors in the hippocampus of the brain.
