How soul part ways from the body

The soul within a person's body is said to be immortal. It only experiences death in the sense that the physical body perishes. The soul residing within a person's body does not perish. Instead, it experiences the sensation of death. What perishes is the physical body. This is the truth. The soul will taste death as it departs from the earthly realm, transitioning from one form of existence to another. That is all. However, a person retains their consciousness, thoughts, and ability to perceive the world even after the soul departs from the human body.The soul transitions from this worldly existence to the afterlife in six stages, as described in the Quran. Firstly, when a person is about to die, Allah sends angels to extract their soul. These angels work under the command of the Angel of Death. In the Quran, there are six stages that we will discuss.

The first stage is when a person's soul is about to depart upon death. Allah commands the responsible angels to take the soul. Although it may seem that death itself is responsible for taking the soul, it is actually the angels who perform this task under Allah's command. These angles form an army that works for Allah and they are the ones who extract the soul.This is the first stage, known as the "day of death." The exact hour is predetermined, and as soon as that day arrives, the angels are ready to carry out their task.

Initially, he mentioned that our Messengers, referring to our angels, will bring about his demise. This occurs in the initial phase, during which Allah dispatches these angels to the individual. The day of one's death is designated, although the specific hour, whether during the day or at night, remains uncertain. Nonetheless, there is a predetermined day of death for every individual. As soon as this day arrives, the angels are promptly prepared and descend.

Upon the arrival of these heavenly beings, the second phase commences - the extraction of the soul from the physical body. The process initiates with the angels delicately removing the soul from the toes, causing a chilling and numbing sensation. Subsequently, they ascend, extracting the soul from the foot, shin, and knees, engendering a pervasive coldness and numbness in the individual's lower extremities. This extraction continues its ascent, reaching the hips and abdominal region. Simultaneously, the angels extract the soul from the tips of the fingers, progressing towards the arm and hand. This intricate procedure entails the careful preparation of the soul for departure, prompting the individual to perceive an unsettling disturbance within their own body. Consequently, medical devices may register abnormal readings, particularly if the person is situated within a hospital setting.In the second stage, the angels begin to collect the soul from the body. Starting from the toes, the soul is gradually pulled out, causing a sensation of coldness and numbness. This process continues until the soul is collected from all parts of the body. During this stage, a person may experience abnormal readings on medical machines if they are in a hospital.

The third stage occurs when the soul reaches the collarbone. At this point, those around the dying person may notice signs of imminent departure. The fourth stage is when the soul moves up to the throat. Although the angels are closer to the person than anyone else, they remain unseen. It is during this stage that a person may encounter doubts planted by Satan, making it the most challenging and painful stage.

In the fifth stage, the soul is extracted from the body. This task is carried out by the Angel of Death, who is responsible for this final stage. For believers, the soul is effortlessly removed, while for disbelievers, it is forcefully ripped out. These six stages illustrate the journey of the soul from the physical realm to the spiritual realm, as described in the Quran.
