For my Beloved

Dear Beloved,

As I sit here with pen in hand,

I cannot help but think of you and your grand,

And wondrous ways that leave me in awe,

Of the beauty and grace that I saw.

Your eyes, like stars, shine bright,

Guiding me through the darkest of nights,

And your voice, like music to my ear,

Brings to my heart a love so dear.

With each passing day, my love grows,

Like a river that endlessly flows,

And I am grateful for every moment we share,

For it's with you that my heart's made aware.

So here's a poem to express my love,

Sent to you on wings of a dove,

May it find you well, and bring a smile,

For you make my life worth the while.

With all my heart, I sign this letter,

Hoping that it brings us together,

And that our love will forever last,

For you are the one I hold fast.

Epitaph: A short poem or inscription that is written on a tombstone or monument. Epitaphs are usually brief and may be humorous, solemn, or reflective.

Limerick: A humorous poem consisting of five lines. The first, second, and fifth lines rhyme with each other, while the third and fourth lines rhyme with each other. Limericks often have a playful or irreverent tone.
