What is the point of human existence?

Have you ever pondered over such a difficult question? The universe is so vast, what is the meaning of human existence? Is it to feel the earthly cycle of life and death, or is it to enjoy the bitterness of the hurried tens of years?

This is the earth you live on, in a sense, you and your community, humans dominate this earth, and human activities have produced immeasurable interference with the earth. All over the world, factories and car exhausts are changing the earth's atmosphere all the time. The production and survival activities of human beings have been causing damage to the earth's water resources all the time. It can be said that with the continuous progress of human technology, human beings will have more and more influence on the earth, and the ability to transform nature will become stronger and stronger. Is this the case?

The history of mankind can be traced back only millions of years, and the recorded history of civilization is only a few thousand years. From the first industrial revolution to the present day, there have long been hundreds of years, and our home is now four and a half billion years old. The entire sentence is intelligent and original in the past billions of years of Earth's passing, thousands of species communities in the turnover. Many species arose and disappeared from the earth, even the dinosaurs that dominated the earth for one point six hundred and fifty million years also disappeared from the earth, life has always been only cold fossils in telling the prosperity of life in their era.

And human beings are the same, whether personal tens of years of life or the entire history of mankind, relative to the earth with billions of years of past may be just a moment, we humans relative to the destruction of the earth, transformation, influence, in fact, relative to the earth does not play any role. What we have changed is only the ecological environment of the Earth's surface. The deepest place on land that we humans have excavated is the Kola Super Deep Well, which is only 12,263 meters from the ground, and the deepest ocean that we have reached is only 11,000 meters.

And the average thickness of the Earth's uppermost crust reaches 17 kilometers, and the thickness of the mantle below the crust is a staggering 2,865 kilometers. Under the mantle, there is a high temperature and high-pressure core, so all human activities today are only built on the most superficial layer of the Earth. Although the damage of human beings to the Earth's environment is extremely serious, however, once all human beings disappear one day, then time will smooth out all the traces of human beings, the atmosphere will recover, the ocean will become clean again, the river water will no longer have pollution, the Earth will become "pure" again.

And for the vast universe, human beings will be even smaller, the Earth is only the most ordinary one of the universe of billions of celestial bodies. Our solar system is than the Earth's larger stars five, the largest solar star is more than 1.3 million times the Earth, the farthest human probe is Voyager 1, which has flown for 44 years, but still has not flown out of the sun's gravitational field area, in other words, it still has not flown out of the solar system astronomers predict that Voyager 1 to get out of the solar system, to reach another star system, at least still need tens of thousands of years.

And beyond the solar system is a more vast galaxy, like the solar system such star system in the galaxy has hundreds of billions, and each star system is likely to have more than one planets exist. The Milky Way is only one of the hundreds of millions of galaxies in the galaxy cluster compared to the universe and is very common in the universe, and some are tens of times more massive than the Milky Way.

At this stage, human knowledge of the universe is still in the initial stage, how big is the universe? The whole sentence intelligent original it is not a boundary, we humans may never be able to understand. Due to the speed of light and the expansion of the universe, the limit of the universe that we humans can see is only 46.5 billion light years. In other words, we can recognize the limitations of the universe only to the center of the Earth, to 46.5 billion light years as the radius of 1 sphere area, and for 46.5 billion light years beyond, we humans simply have no way to know.

And what does the Earth count in this sphere with a diameter of 93 billion light years? The universe was born 13.8 billion years ago, and countless amounts of matter coalesced and collided to create the vast universe that we have today. If we shorten the 13.8 billion years to one day, then the 5,000 years of human civilization are only equivalent to 3 seconds, and your life and mine may be just a moment.

Our human science and technology, even if it is thousands or even tens of thousands of times more powerful than today, does not mean anything to the universe. So if this is the case, what significance does the emergence of us humans and all life on our planet have for the universe? Perhaps there is nothing special about life on the scale of the universe, life is just a bunch of carbohydrates, and it is not fundamentally different from other matter in the universe.

And we are just like that, although we have our thoughts, we can think, and have feelings, there is nothing special about the universe, perhaps we spend our life's passionate years, and there is no significant significance to the evolutionary history of the universe. We are born, grow up, work, get married, have children, raise offspring, get sick and then die this short life will eventually pass away, we were born in the universe, and will eventually return to the universe, we are just a tiny wave in the evolutionary history of the universe, that's all.
