We as humans are always intrigued by extraterrestrial beings, be it aliens or UFO. We are always curious to know more about them, there are all kinds of theories that support our belief in the existence of aliens, although these theories are not scientifically proven or acclaimed by the government, it has never stopped us from believing otherwise.

There is a wide number of places in the world where sightings of UFO have been claimed. Kongka pass is one such place in India. It is situated in the Himalayas, in Ladakh which is a part of northern India. It has always been a conflict zone as this area is the marker of the Line of Actual Control. It is disputed land between India and China, It’s southwest region lies in Ladakh, India while the northwest region that falls in China is known as the Aksai Chin region.

Apart from its disputed history, the Kongka pass is famous for its UFO sightings. People on both sides claim to have seen a triangle-shaped unidentified entity in the sky numerous times. There are many reported cases in which an unidentified flying object was seen but later it disappeared into the sky.

It is assumed that there is an alien base under the Kongka pass, and the government of both countries is well aware of these speculations but tries to sweep the matter under the rug. This theory came into existence when in 2006 the Google earth imagery of Kongka pass revealed, that its surrounding areas had buildings that looked very similar to a military base, although if you search on google maps, you won’t get any satisfactory results.

Once the pilgrims traveling to mount Kailash, witnessed strange lights in the sky, not able to understand what they were, they asked their guide about the same, the guide told them that it was very common to see such lights in that area.

A strange incident happened with the Indian army back in 2012, which made the theory of the presence of an alien base camp in the Kongka region more believable. Few soldiers of the Indian army while patrolling saw an unidentified object in the sky above the Pangong lake, which is very close to the area of the line of actual control. To get a clear understanding of what the object actually was they used a spectrum analyzer, but to their shock, the analyzer could not detect anything even though they could see the flying object with naked eyes. They assumed that the object they were seeing was not made up of any metal. They even tried using a drone to get a clear picture of the object but as the drone reached the vicinity of the object, the object disappeared. Even today the incidence is still a mystery.

According to the locals on both sides, these triangular entities emitting an extremely bright light, flying vertically upwards are seen very often. They can be seen for a while and then they disappear suddenly leaving no trace behind. The locals believe that there is an underground alien base in this region.

Geographically it is among those few places of the world where the depth of crust is twice as it is in other places. This is because of the strange convergence of the Indian plate and Eurasian plate, where one plate directly plunges into the other, making the crust thicker.

The occurrence of such strange incidences is something that cannot be ignored. Although the government has made no official statement, and all we have for now are nothing more than mere theories, they may or may not be true. But one thing is for sure, the fascination that we possess for aliens and the curiosity we have to know more about them is going to keep us on track to research more about them and maybe someday we will finally get those proofs to support our theory.
