Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. The stars would take turns kissing the earth. Resting upon the ground and soaring back into space; effortlessly and gracefully. The songs of the wind carried on as if their importance needed to be heard far and wide. What a blessing to feel the colors dressing one’s aura. The kiss of the cool breeze excites inner peace. Each night seemingly brighter than the day before. To have danced amongst the universe is a wonder.

Every night attempted to repeat that of the night prior but each evenings play performed its own variation of perfection. Each dance beautiful and each movement unique. The darker the purple clouds, the warmer the night. Pastel purple clouds indicate a cooler evening to be had. The darker the blush of the sky, the breezier the wind, forcing their songs further across the landscape. The lighter the blush, the lower the whisper of the wind.

As the planet would spin, different stars would be available to greet the surface. The Great Star was the exception. Always, absolutely ALWAYS, in sync with the planet no matter its position in rotation. The highest and brightest in the sky, its presence always a constant reminder that there is always an exception to the rule. The Great Star commanding all the other stars. Their leader. Their commander. The Great Star guiding midnight activities.

The moons in the night sky would take turns rotating amongst each other; always the planet their main focus, forcing the moons sparkle to become more elaborate and deliberate. Demanding attention from each other and from the adoring eyes of the planet’s beings. So close that a bet could be made that one could tap the surface.

Midnight is when the creatures appeared and began their routine. Gathering food, family time, eating, mending, building, creating, work amongst the mundane. Festival evenings were the happiest. Trying to capture the stars was always a fun game to play. To sit and wait for one to come close enough to attempt this. Patience and persistence were key. Timing, don’t forget timing. A split second would make the difference. To ride a star was the ultimate excitement. Knowing when to let go was crux. Hold on too long and fun could become demise.

Water mirroring all that was spectacular. Water creatures only made their species known during the hour of the high sky. Affections between land, water and sky creatures was of most importance. Communication was needed to prosper. Even a lake that is known for dithery could not dim the love and passion created during the midnight dancing of the sky.

Wind, the carrier of messages; even when speech is not understood. The energy of messages was most evident. Energy would hold intent true to its nature. Absorbing information provided, formed dependable relationships. Whistling songs to sway to, most relaxing. Forcing wind would create a storm of disagreement. Wind only requests respect.

Plant life thrived under the midnight dance. Drawing life force from the movement, energy fed the ground. Seeping into the roots, the stems became thicker, leaves luscious and bark stronger. Home to many and food to all, plant life asked to be cared for. Gratefulness came easily.

Understanding the blushing sky and purple clouds was one’s livelihood. Misunderstanding could create pain and disruption. Listen closely, feel unbiasly, accept with heartfelt, speak empathetically and create with feeling. Accepting their messages as they were. No need for overthinking and dissection. Simplicity is what midnight demanded. Clear thy expectations and accepted for what was valued.

Simplicity of the midnight routine may be mundane, however the basis of repetition can be comforting.
