What is the sole purpose of a human life?
Quick Google search of: 'What's the purpose of a human life?'
Would you like to know what I found? There isn't any. There is no single, universal purpose. Yet humans do try to find the meaning of life either through biological survival, spiritual beliefs or personal growth and goals.
Humans have accomplished a lot in history, don't get me wrong. Between science and healthcare, there are many accomplishments. But.... there's always a but. Humans have also caused significant destruction.
Wars, greed, world destruction and world domination. These are just a few harmful things humans have done. Humans are the greatest gaslighters of Earth.
Humans worry about the planet. They research the other species living on Earth, global warming, garbage and oil leaking into waters and forests. Humans have started cleaning up all these messes. Help wildlife by rescuing the sick, rehabilitating them and, if possible, sending them back to their home.
Of course, that is a positive, but do you want to know the negative to this? One of the major reasons there is even global warming (We already know and understand that Earth has a habit of causing destruction when the planet is finished with what's living on it) is Humans.
As humans evolved, they have created societies and become more intelligent. Meaning humans have been burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas. The more the human population grows, the more they build. This takes more resources from the planet.
This means disrupting the wildlife and taking their homes away, then going back into their homes to clean up the mess we made. Now we have groups to preserve wildlife and their spaces. Now, if only we could take abandoned houses and buildings, revamp them; this would help with the rapid growth of the human population.
Maybe I'm too closed-minded or not looking at the bigger picture. But maybe taking what is already there and giving it a second chance at life may also help with all this climate change, pollution, and destruction of wildlife habitats.
Currently, we have a problem in the human species with homelessness, drug problems, financial problems, and a rising cost of living in general. Instead of building new buildings, we can put the money back into society and figure out a way to at least get people off the streets. This should be the main priority, but humans are greedy; they want more and more, not caring about the consequences.
Want to go down the next rabbit hole? The rabbit hole of religion? There are many different religions around the world. Also, many different cultures are included in this rabbit hole.
Religions and cultures have their own ways of living, rules, regulations, and demands for the followers and community to control and keep people in check. Humans need something to believe in; since they don't generally have a single purpose on earth, they need to find something to justify being here. Justifying that there is something higher, spiritual gives them purpose.
Then you have personal growth and goals, where the person takes their interests and makes it their mission to accomplish it before they die, from travelling to changing the world; that is their sole purpose of being here.
With everything said, what is the purpose of humans? Besides making messes and cleaning them up, growing a society but profiting on it. If there is no actual purpose for humans, then why has the evolution of the species evolved us to this point in time?
Maybe one day we will find out. Till then, create your own path and do you.
