Are black mirrors portals to plug into other dimensions?
Can scrying reveal visions of alternative realities?

The Cambridge English dictionary describes “scry” as a method of seeing “what will happen in the future... by looking into an object such as a mirror or glass ball”.
It’s a technique still practised today by mediums who profess to have the power to communicate with the spirits of the dead or with entities from another world or dimension by gazing into crystal balls, but its origins go way back to the ancient world when hydromancy, a form of water scrying, was believed to have been used by the Oracle of Delphi, a high priestess at the Temple of Apollo, who utilised it among other divinatory techniques.
The Egyptians are also believed to have used scrying, involving water and reflective surfaces, as part of their spiritual practices with the goddess Hathor a renowned practitioner of the art.
The Celts believed bodies of water, such as lakes and rivers, were portals to the “otherworld” where they could communicate with spirits and deities, while many Native American tribes also practised forms of scrying such as crystal gazing or observing smoke or water reflections to gain insights and guidance from the spirit world.
The 16th-century French apothecary and seer Nostradamus is believed to have used a bowl of water on a brass tripod for scrying, recording his prophetic visions in his famous work “Les Propheties”; and during the Middle Ages it was practised by English mathematician, astronomer and occultist John Dee, a prominent figure in the court of Queen Elizabeth I, who used a black “obsidian” mirror and a crystal ball to seek guidance and knowledge by communicating with “angels”, who passed on instructions and knowledge to him through an intermediary.
Like other modern black reflective surfaces, obsidian is a potent tool for scrying because it can supposedly hold and project images or visions, while crystal (typically shaped into a round sphere), water (which reflects moonlight in the darkness of night) and fire (through candles or flames flickering and weaving patterns that form images) have also been used in rituals to gaze into the future and connect with other dimensions.
Native Americans used smoke scrying in a similar way, watching the patterns, movement and shapes in rising smoke to make prophecies, while cloud scrying is another technique whereby the shapes and forms that appear in the sky are believed to provide similar insights.
The ancient Chinese also practised obsidian mirror gazing, believing the black surfaces had the power to reveal hidden truths and open doors to the spirit realm... which is of particular interest at this point in time due to the proliferation of devices such as flat-screen televisions, mobile phones and even microwave ovens in the modern world that cast reflections in exactly the same way as the naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when lava cools rapidly after a volcano erupts.
Obsidian is rich in lighter elements such as silicon, oxygen, aluminium, sodium and potassium... while the glass of your TV screen, which serves as a portal to a visual experience, is typically made from silicon oxide, whereas natural obsidian is about 70 per cent silicon dioxide. See the correlation there?
So the big question now is what is the significance of black mirrors in the world of the occult, demonolgyy and traversing realms between dimensions and are the black screens we find all around us in our homes a means of tapping into this energy to bring “demons” or other entities into our consciousness without us ever being aware of it?
You know those mirrors typically found in police cells, the ones that allow detectives to snoop on interrogations without a suspect’s knowledge? Well, could black mirrors perform a similar function for unseen entities from other realms, seeking to tap into our consciousness and influence events in our domain or frequency band?
When you gaze into the TV screen could someone or something from another reality be watching you too? Sadly, without knowing how to successfully perform black mirror scrying myself it’s something I’ll just have to contemplate without ever knowing the answer, however I do believe it’s quite possible that given our limited perception of the world we live in that this may indeed be the case.
Take our limited understanding of the body’s endocrine system and the healing power of cannabis oil through its interaction with it, when modern science assures us it is nothing more than a dangerous hallucinogen that drives users into deeper drug addiction. Then there’s ayahuasca, the South American psychoactive decoction prepared from the banisteriopsis caapi vine and the psychotria viridis shrub (a dimethyltryptamine (DMT)-containing plant), which is supposed to open the mind to experiences that those who’ve experimented with it argue opens pathways to other realms of existence.
Seems to me there’s a whole lot the Rothschild-impregnated medical system has deliberately kept from us that our ancestors knew had healing qualities and one wonders whether there’s a whole lot more weird science that our lords and masters have turned into myth and legend to perpetually keep humanity in the dark and unaware of the true nature of our existence.
Not long ago the notion of recording sound on magnetic tape would have seemed impossible but then cassette and video recorders became commonplace across the world, followed by floppy discs and all kinds of other inventions that had once seemed impossible.
Indeed much of the Earth’s crust is comprised of igneous rock deposits, such as granite, which display similar electromagnetic properties to magnetic tape, except they occur naturally, but who’s to say they don’t also possess recording properties that could go some way to explaining the strange voices and sightings of apparitions and ghosts that are often reported in cave systems deep beneath the planet’s surface?
Granite is itself composed mainly of feldspar, quartz, mica and amphibole minerals which all, to some degree, display properties that could make them recording devices... so crystal balls and black mirrors could simply be objects that convey taped messages recorded into them rather than being portals for other dimensional entities to explore ways to tap into our consciousness.
Must confess, it’s a topic I’d like to discover more about and perhaps even learn the art myself... I know I’m curious about ayahuasca and DMT, so why not look deeply into a black mirror and see if something’s looking back?
So how do you actually do it? Well, briefly, the literature suggests the first step is to prepare the space, with candlelight supposedly providing the best way of creating a clean vibrational energy to enter a meditative state. Then, sitting comfortably with eyes shut, the key is to take deep cleansing breaths until you feel focused enough to open your eyes and look deep into the scrying tool.
Physically touching it is also said to strengthen the connection, but the most important thing is to have an “intention” to focus upon during this meditative state. Then, if images or insights reveal themselves, be sure to take notes of the experience to review afterwards. Must admit I find the intent angle troublesome though, if you’re looking into another dimension how do you have any idea what you intend to see if you’re doing it for the first time?
But, other than that, the process itself doesn’t seem that hard does it? And, with a dodgy capacitor meaning my ageing flat-screen TV is all but useless as it won’t stay switched on for more than a few seconds, it may come in handy for a crack at scrying. I may even invest in some candles to create the right ambience and amuse myself one night by gazing into the black abyss and see what wonders appear before me.
I dare say a slug of ayahuasca or a plate of mushrooms might enhance the experience but that’s a whole knew journey down the rabbit hole for me that I’m not really comfortable with trying just yet. Maybe one day? But probably not any time soon... unless, of course, I witness something deeply insightful from a vision within my dodgy TV.
