Apocalyptic world

A few people might be familiar with the term apocalyptic world. If you are unfamiliar with this term don’t worry at all I will give you a brief and interesting overview of the apocalyptic world. It is basically a speculative or fictional scenario in which a series of catastrophic events lead to widespread upheaval and destruction, leaving the survivors with a struggle to live in an unapologetic landscape.

Apocalyptic scenarios are of different types ranging from natural disasters like tsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanic eruption to nuclear war, zombie outbreak, pandemics and alien invasion. All the aforementioned scenarios the world would be drastically changed and the survivors struggle to rebuild and survive in this vulnerable landscape.

Apocalyptic worlds cause social disorder, people turn against each other to protect themselves and to survive. Reading all this stuff might bring hunger games in your mind….Bros you all got it right. Hunger Games also depicted an apocalyptic world.

Due to the suspenseful, grim and terrifying nature of the apocalyptic world, this theory has been often used in fiction movies and video games.

Recently all of us have experienced the apocalyptic world. If after reading this line, the pandemic period clicks your mind you are a genius just like me…yeah this is constant in my stories I love myself. Ok let's get back to work, yeah we all have survived the pandemic Era. Apart from that the world was always a place of turmoil, chaos and suddenness. You can never prepare for what's new in the bag for you. Apocalyptic world was never taken serious until it really hit us hard in late 2019.

It all started with a tiny virus that was above the approach of medical professionals. It was so contagious that it was almost impossible to survive after getting in contact. With a matter of days, it can convert the flowers in your hands to be the flowers on your grave. The death toll was exponentially rising.

The world was struggling to provide medical assistance to the infected. It has created panic across the globe. Within months the virus decimated the population of the world and the survivors were suffering and collecting the pickup pieces. The metropolitan cities were turned into dunes, the streets littered with corpses.

This virus had eliminated all the old rules. The world became a barren land on which resources were contested fiercely. You either had to adapt to this cruel world or prefer dying. These were the only choices. With the passage of time, people communicated to rebuild what has been lost, developed technologies, and new ways to survive.

The apocalypse was devastating but also acted as a catalyst to bring change in society. The survivors got to know the value of life and cherish every little blessing they had. We need to discuss the psychological impacts of the apocalyptic world. Living in the apocalyptic world, made people suffer from trauma and PTSD which created fear, anxiety and depression.

People were devastated to lose their loved ones and a normal life. The sense of competition increased significantly leading to increased violence and aggression. People developed coping mechanisms to deal with all this stress, trauma and tension.

We can conclude our discussion by saying that it left a significant effect on the lives of individuals and the community as a whole. We need to address all these impacts and provide resources and support to our loved ones who are affected. We all are yearning a moment of calm in this apocalyptic world.
