The self made barns, huts and villages.

Long, long, long ago there was a time where ancient beasts ruled the green and blue planet of purity and growth, in time these exotic animals of the lands and human collided causing catastrophic consequences. Both thinking the other was the enemy they hunted and slaughtered each other to the point of extinction. The coming of “new men” meant new times were upon us and for the indigenous who lived peacefully with the lands fear ran deep within our veins.

A women of colour have been mistreated as you read threw out history, this story however is of a white french woman (my grandmother) Lilith and a man of colour with no name. This is my mother’s story her name was “Sylvia” a fairly pretty woman in her younger days from pictures I’ve be studied for hours on end.

Lilith her mere presence was cold, eerie sensations filled the room as she approached threw out my childhood I believed she was the essence of “evil” she wasn’t the nurturing nor loving type. Her stride was disciplined perfect posture, stern glaring eyes that pierced deep within your soul. Lips pursed as she walked up towards you to tell you off for no reason at all other than breathing oxygen.

Perhaps that’s why my mother is so distant with me. She has a very traumatic childhood from what I could gather and what I uncovered. She had very limited photographs of her as a child and the ones she did have her head was shaved and she was dressed like a boy. Her facial expressions looked confused, scared and puzzled. She feared whom ever was behind the camera.

Why? Would a mother shave her daughters head and dress her like a boy I thought to myself whilst swinging on the trye swing Liliths man slave Butch made for my siblings and We visited on this particular summer.

My older sister Auroa was aggressively skipping along the yard towards me as I gaze into the distance and see my brother near the fence where lady and Gooba resided our pet cow and bull. She was a strange child like the rest of us her more distant than the rest. She kept to herself and planned and executed everything in life perfectly she was the definition of setting your mind to something until the goal was achieved I envy that about her to this day. I’m

Sylvia then and now has to many mental illnesses to realise what her delusional state of mind to her reality is. She fabricated stories my whole life-in her defence she was medicated by doctors. Sometimes to the extent she’d be walked to a mental hospital with a police escort.

We’d met a man named Hakan who claimed to have been my mothers father he was an alcoholic I met once before he tragically passed away the next week and we never got the answers to the questions we’d always asked.

Threw many years the indigenous people rose to overcome tragic events and trauma their experiences, stories and knowledge is sometimes documented and you hear stories like “The Rabbit Proof Fence” I’d convinced myself that the French side of my family who was only my grandmother Lilith and her mother Raven even eviler than her. I believed they must have been apart of the unforgiving invading families that captured the indigenous children.

I believed my mother was birthed from the tragic and harsh circumstances of a young black man, which makes me wonder if he was willing or not? For him to be non existent in any medical records or even in the minds of Lilith and Sylvia he didn’t exist..

All I Am: The Truth, Lies and Deprived.

Aurora and I have often looked at the mannerisms of our mother and studied her. Almost like a psychologist I picked up on certain behaviours. In avoidance to all questions she was asked her or Lilith they’d both have the same reaction or say “I don’t know or remember” Aurora was smart and took it upon herself to get DNA testing done to find out what resided in our DNA we didn’t know about.

She’d taken the Ancestry DNA Testing on 06/03/2019

Source: As the results shown in the graph above indicates your ancestry DNA comes from the island of New Zealand, Scandinavian Country and France. In conclusion you have different variables indicating many different cultures.

As we were informed there was no traces of Aboriginal DNA in my eldest sister whatsoever, which shocked us all as you look at different cultures they have different things that make them unique. So all we were ever told is a lie? not knowing the truth and left with a bunch of religious beliefs I now question? I’ll find my own guide. Who was the man “Hakan” that claimed to my grandfather and how do I get answers?

Maori and Aboriginal Man

For what was next for this society? it has changed constantly and dramatically over the years the air of luscious green forests, ancient sacred stones, tombs and burial grounds all destroyed so that mankind could build and take more than what they needed.

The once sweet aroma of spring flowers and summer rains travelling threw the air has made the whistling winds reek of mechanical device fumes,, smokes fills the clouds with darkness and toxic waste.

By Svyatoslav Romanov on Unsplash

The toxicity wasn’t just in the air around us it was forming and growing within us the greed filled many minds and the thought “you need money to survive” driven into young minds. Telling them to work hard and be successful and having a certain criteria and standard of living to meet up to just by being born.

For what’s money without happiness? The hard times surrounded by people you love, I’m not talking just about blood. To work your whole life and hate what you do leaves you unfulfilled, retired and wasted without a view. It’s time people got a clue.

For additional life comes at a price. Learn to set free what you bring into the world, not try and own it and control it under lock and key.

Open your minds to the possibilities of letting our babies to better than we. Looking to elders for advice, it is right although at times your blinded to see it, some things you have to learn in order to earn the wise words were right it’s a situation you have to experience not preach and that it undoubtedly right.

“Smart people learn from their mistakes and wise people learn from smart peoples mistakes” is a quote I love dearly. I think about it often but as much as I agree I don’t because for me personally to elope I had to indulge in dark places to see my guided road. It’s hard to love and let go this I of all people and things I’ve unfortunately been given the gift to know. Loving in the twenty first century generation “y” the last year of the “Millennial Era” said to never have the ability to succeed in life and own a house. That we were the years that spiked criminal history to an all new high and the all new low for the academic creditability our country once had.

Little life lessons spread out for you, some puzzles games and twisted thoughts. I sit in my old abandoned barn I found high in the mountains of the Mackay beach lands, I found an underground mine this region is notorious known for it to. A life of simplicity is what I’m slowly getting back to.

Threw reading this you wonder how to understand me so the late introduction forgive me I’m Landon a boy raised in a farm in a barn, always down for good conversation and to have a yarn. Nothing negative can get to me for I am learning to set my mind free and let what will be, be. With the feeling no longer controlling me.

I can across this path trying to uncover who and where I’m from after loosing my two year old daughter I’ve fought off grief in hope to write A biography I done some soul searching about me. The answers were not what I expected at all at first I declined and the feeling was raw. But threw this I learn to respect other cultures a lot more.

By Jennifer Marquez on Unsplash

Finding out “aboriginal culture” is not in my own veins saddens me it still has part of my heart and that I’ll make forever known. As a woman of colour but nothing extreme I’ve been on the borderline fence watching the tragic bullying of what can be in today’s society. I see people coming together and making a stand, land given back as promised maybe there is still hope for man since we destroyed these lands can we take it back to be beautiful again?
