5 of the best evidence for the existence of aliens

Humans may be the only ones in the universe

From the first time to look at the stars, the universe has shown mankind its vastness, infinity, and magnificence, but after these adjectives about space and scenery, there is another very realistic scenery - dead silence.

Scientists have long believed that the universe can not be the only intelligent life of human beings. On the one hand, because the number of stars and planets in the universe is so huge that it is uncountable, and with such a staggering base, plus the fact that there is already a living example of humans, it is hard to believe that there is no other intelligent life in the universe.

On the other hand, it is not uncommon for Earth to have elements that makeup life; the entire periodic table of elements can be found elsewhere in the universe, and it can be said that whatever is on Earth is in the universe.

In this case, what makes you think that only the Earth has given birth to life in the universe and no life exists on other planets? Perhaps, at this moment, there is some kind of intelligent life on some planet unknown to mankind that is also thinking about this question.

However, if there is almost certainly alien intelligent life in the universe, why haven't we found any traces of them? Why is the universe dead again? To find the answers to these questions, humans have embarked on a journey to find "companions".

Do not look at the quality of human life has improved a lot in a few hundred years, but the level of human technology is not "advanced", so the search for extraterrestrial civilizations is also a relatively "backward" method, usually only three: the search for extraterrestrial radio signals, looking for extraterrestrial The search for extraterrestrial radio signals, the search for the technological tags of the civilization, and certain changes in the planets.

In half a century of searching, humans have relied on these three methods to discover the following five "proofs" of extraterrestrial existence, each of which caused a scientific sensation and worldwide attention when they were first discovered, and many people still insist that they are the best proof of the existence of extraterrestrials today.

Martian "human face" and traces of Martian life

Carl Sagan and the Viking

Following the great success of Voyager I and II, NASA set its sights on exploring Mars, and on August 20, 1975, Corsair I was launched into space, expected to reach Mars orbit in about 10 months.

On July 25, 1976, "Corsair 1" already in the scheduled orbit work in the Sidonian region took a photo. The photo was released and caused a huge stir because there was a "human face" in the photo.

As early as before the exploration of Mars there are many people speculated that Mars may be living on other intelligent creatures, but the probe back to Earth's barren landscape dispels people's doubts.

The discovery of the Martian surface has once again ignited the fire of curiosity in people's hearts, a time "Mars had a civilization" argument is very much in the air, and even some people think that Mars is still living many Martians.

More than 20 years after Viking 1 took its first pictures of the region, many more probes have looked at the area, including the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, Mars Express, Mars Global Surveyor, and many more.

These rovers carried much higher resolution cameras compared to the low-resolution cameras on Viking I. Relying on these high-resolution cameras, finally unraveled the mystery of the "Martian face" that has plagued the scientific community for decades.

The so-called "Martian Face" is not some kind of "man-made" building, but a huge weathered rock, or a small hill. The reason why it will be considered a "human face", is mainly because the "Pirate One" camera resolution is not high caused by the visual error.

In addition to photographing "Martian face", as the first rover to land on Mars, "Viking 1" also conducted a biological analysis of Martian soil.

Initial results showed that the Martian soil met some of NASA's life-testing indicators, which meant that some kind of microorganism might exist inside it. But in recent years, most scientists have concluded that the so-called biological traces are just some kind of abiotic chemical changes that do not prove the existence of life in Martian soil.

So, this "evidence" was also ruthlessly rejected.

Jerry R. Ehrman

On August 16, 1977, astronomer Jerry R. Ehman accidentally listened to a strong radio signal lasting 72 seconds, the characteristics of which indicated that it did not come from somewhere in the solar system.

As the scientific community was looking for was feverishly searching for alien civilizations at the time, the signal, which was very different from the usual, excited Lehman so much that he circled the anomalous signal in the signal printout and labeled it next to it - "Wow!

Although scientists also realized that this signal is unusual, and even called it the first extraterrestrial signal received by humans, in the follow-up "listening" mission, and did not find a similar signal in the same direction. It was like a demon that first gave mankind some kind of hope and then sank it into eternal disappointment.

In 2017, Antonio Paris, assistant professor of astronomy and astrophysics at St. Petersburg College, noted that the "Wow!" signal may not be a greeting signal from an alien civilization, but from a comet or two on its way through the solar system.

Antonio Paris

He believes that comets produce large clouds of hydrogen as they approach the solar system at high speed and that it is these hydrogen clouds, located outside the solar system, that send the peculiar signals received by humans.

As things stand, the correctness of Antonio Paris's view is still high, so the first extraterrestrial signal received by humans became a joke.

On December 27, 1984, the American Antarctic Search for Meteorites (ANS MET) team discovered a meteorite in the Allen Mounds.

After a brief analysis, scientists concluded that the meteorite, named "ALH84001", was from Mars and was at least 4.5 billion years old and that it had suffered a violent impact before coming to Earth.

In 1996, "ALH84001" attracted worldwide attention, and even then US President Bill Clinton gave a speech about it, as NASA scientists announced that the meteorite might contain microfossil evidence of Martian bacteria, and published a research paper about it in Science.

This conclusion ignited enthusiasm for exploring Mars, and NASA received a large funding grant as a result. However, some scientists in later studies pointed out that the initial study was too subjective and there seemed to be no way to accurately determine the existence of life on ancient Mars with just a few tiny crystals.

Of course, although the "ALH84001" still has a huge controversy, its appearance did push the pace of human exploration of Mars.

Mars life exhaust gas - methane

In June 2019, NASA announced that large amounts of methane had been found on Mars, news that was very exciting for the scientific community, because methane is the "exhaust gas" produced by life activity, and the discovery of this situation could very well mean that there is some kind of life on Mars.

This is not the first time that methane gas has been found on Mars, as early as 2013 a probe detected the presence of methane gas in the Cydonia region, but because of the low levels detected on that occasion, it did not attract much attention.

And as research continues, many scientists point out that methane alone may not be able to tell if life exists on Mars, because many natural situations also produce methane gas, such as certain chemical reactions due to temperature changes.

Therefore, whether the methane gas found on Mars can prove the existence of life on Mars, there is still a big question mark to be confirmed by the future human landing in person.

In November 2017, an object about 400 meters long and 80 meters wide in the shape of a cigar caught the attention of scientists. At first, scientists thought it was just an ordinary meteorite, but after studying its trajectory, they found that the mysterious object came from outside the solar system.

After more than a year of studying the object, which is called "Ormolu", Avi Loeb, head of the astronomy department at Harvard University, came up with a surprising idea: Ormolu is a probe of an alien civilization.

On January 26, 2021, Avi Loeb re-stated this idea in his new book, insisting that the Oromo is the probe of an alien civilization and that its bizarre flight path, unique surface reflectivity, and eerie shape all prove this idea.

But in fact, Avi Loeb's view is not widely recognized by the scientific community, most scientists currently believe that it is only a very characteristic asteroid, there is no trace to prove that it is some kind of "man-made".

The above is the "evidence" of the existence of aliens that humans have found so far and is also a frequent guest in many so-called "popular science" articles, but they are not scientific and rigorous proof of the existence of aliens.

Although we believe in the existence of extraterrestrial intelligent life in the universe, and also believe that they are somewhat universal, as things stand now, all the conclusions reveal a desperate fact: humans may be the only ones in the universe.
