The Incomplete Story

The Big Toe - not quite there.

Jeremy had just lost his beloved mother. He was feeling down. The reality of the death sentence humanity must face, and being a victim of the competitive tendencies of nature, threatened to destroy hope.

His mother had spoke about her weaknesses and failings, assuring him  that her intentions  were to honour wishful wonder that needs to be revived when facing disdainful disillusionment. She poetically said, “You are  my sweet fruit, who with your words and actions can distill, purify and ferment the golden elixir nectar into ichor that is needed to spark the divine power of the automaton in humanity.”

Jeremy breathed deeply. He was an independent, confident and a strong thinker,  with the resilience and fortitude to keep on carrying on in this world. He studied the pragmatic skills of mathematics. When it left him feeling incomplete, he was drawn to find evidence to support the serendipitous synchronization of events. He applied himself with a childlike innocent heart, and eagerness to play as he studied  the big TOE, 'The Theory of Everything'.

Jeremy first saw Lily in his dreams. When they met, she was laughing. Her face reflected the light of the moon.  Jeremy felt the light connect with the force carrier itself and felt a spark move through him that awakened his spirit.

She was speaking. “A colleague once remarked,  ‘Divorce makes you stronger.’ My reply was cruel, ‘I hope you get to have one.’ I think I was strong when I realized that what I wished for in a relationship and what was happening, were not in alignment. The divorce had already happened.”

Some people live by imagined rules, some live by imposed rules and laws, some ignore or test rules as doubting Thomas’ who have to see and feel to believe. Jeremy remembered how he had learned to follow a spark and discover unexpected treasures. Once he found a painting of Grandpa's ship, in an art exhibit of the Irish Rover, Will Millar. Another time, he found matching lamps, in two different junk shops hundreds of miles apart. One had a male stopper holding the shade in place,  and the other a female. There were many such events. Jeremy knew when action is needed, and when enough is enough, and it is time to stop and  let synchronicity happen.

This was the time to seize the moment. He was convinced that he could align his head and heart and the microscopic symbiotic beasts within his gut and integrated in the maternal messenger RNA with Lily's.

He walked over to her. Lily was standing in front of a wall hanging  of the Sri Yantra behind it's 3D pyramidal model. Jeremy took the cue.

As they spoke, the rest of the crowd faded away. It seemed that they were in a bubble. He was in the presence of divine oneness. His inside thoughts became outside reality. They shared an extra special communication, that uses the brain’s potential.

“The Sri Yantra has been passed down through ancient Vedic and Tantric traditions, and metaphysical traditions that date from around 11,000 BCE. Old wisdom is reborn through the ages and translated into an incomplete but tidy fictional narrative that the human mind can understand.

"The Sri Yantra, known as Maha Meru in 3-D,  resembles the continuous symmetrical manifold similar to E₈ algebra. They describe harmonic oscillations, the fundamental building blocks of matter, and universal unfolding. They have 248 divine aspects and grids of power within the inner and outer circuits. Chandravakyas is an ancient astronomical technique used to calculate the position of the moon over  248 days. As you might guess I am a playful philosophical mathematician.”

Lily smiled saying, “What a great pick-up line.”

Jeremy continued. “Life is a work in progress. Efforts and actions flow and transform between cause and effect.  We build a house of cards based on relationships that change us. We are easily swayed by emotions, economics,  peers, and fears and succumb to stresses that change the entire vibration. There is not necessarily a wrong or right, better or worse scenario. The merging creates the Unami of life. However, please take note that many forces of our lives have brought us together now, here on the same plane, where we are moving relative to each other.”

Lily looked at him as if he was crazy. Jeremy said, “The French poet Aragon says,  ‘there is no love without sorrow. By the time we learn how to live, it is already too late.’ I'm ready to accept the sorrow and hate being late."

Jeremy and Lily shared many conversations over the years that followed. Jeremy was all about transmitting what he could to their kids. “I doubt if  we can ever know the complete story of anything, but perhaps we can learn a bit from nature. Take for example a rainbow, that is often double. It's faint and reversed reflection is visible once you know where to look. Scientists have found that there are gaps, black regions, between each colour. They are known as the Fraunhofer lines. As light gets dispersed, the lines become faded and colours meld one into the other. Remember that to walk through the light, we pass through the darkness.”

"Once seen, even a figment of imagination, though you know it is not real, is hard to unsee. Look at the full moon. The reflected light and shadows, let us imagine Jill kissing Jack. We are ever changing automatons. We also go through phases that cycle to and from emptiness and fullness. Our thoughts are new or old only briefly. Most of the time is spent in between, adding or removing them.

“Life is an incomplete story always under revision. Align your heart, mind and gut with what you understand of the universe. Do not live in the shadow of my imaginings but  acknowledge your own reflections. They will  answer questions you don't even know are burning in your heart.”

As generations passed, many of the messages of this incomplete story have been criticized, yet carried forward and adjusted with Chinese whispers. Perhaps they hold the divine spark that restores hope in times of darkness.
