Myrrh, Mirror, Morning

For Paper Sake

Myrrh, mirror, morning,

My lover ran away.

Did he pause or turn around?

In sooth, I cannot say.

For my head is in my hands,

Both are wet in this sink.

Gone, like the tree lands,

For the sake of paper,

With no need for loveless ink.
