I hated reading until Miss Hilferty assigned this story to our literature class. One story can change the world.

Unmitigated Greed
Chapter 2 Frank was angry, and having no one person to direct his anger at, he turned it loose on everyone. The summer before his senior year of high school was a mixture of fights and uncontrolled drinking in the cantinas of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. It was during one such night that he overheard two men talking about back-alley prize fights. He was still sober enough to ask where the fights were being held and how he could enter.

What does the month of September remind you? For me it was always the Back-to-School time of the year. I was the kind of kid that like buying school supplies and still am since I still need these kinds of things as a writer. Nothing like opening a new spiral notebook or composition notebook. Back to the topic this was the time I got to see old school friends again and catch up with what we all did over the summer. There were new books even though they were quite outdated by the time I (we) got to use them. Wish there was 'DonorsChoose.com' back then. This was the early seventies when I went to school. We had books from the 1950's and early 1960's.

My To Be Read List
I have been taking some time away from writing. I haven't forgotten about Vocal, the truth is I just have been too busy pursuing other things to write online and honestly, my little family and I just had a really hard month between the flu and a weird eye infection/cold circulating our house. I'm currently sipping some warm peppermint tea because my throat is sore.
