Move over standard economics lessons, and Girl Dinner. Girl Math is now a viral social media trend in vogue. Rationale: cash is not real money. Spend until you get free shipping. Everything is an "investment."

Some critics interpret this trend as irresponsible money management, while others think it's financially savvy.

A fresh one from the ladies on Girl Math - relatable in many cases: https://www.tiktok.com/@themumseditt/video/7275868364830969095

  • This video is good at explaining 'Girl Math' from a mans perspective: https://www.tiktok.com/@shaan.subra/video/7270786059976461570

  • Another example of 'Girl Math' is using your airline miles to pay for flights. It is justified; especially when they are close to expiring, as you would hate for them to go to waste, and (luckily enough) you want to, or need to travel anyway. On the other hand, using your credit card to pay for goods that you do not want in order to earn these points is a form of false economy.

  • Spend until shipping is free? No thank you, lol!
