Hello! I hope this article finds you well. I have realized lately that I would like to dabble back into short stories and fiction writing. While I feel most comfortable in poetry, I have sometimes written short stories I enjoy. I wrote this story years ago and eventually wanted to create a manuscript. However, at this time, I would like to see if this is an idea anyone is interested in reading more about. All critiques are welcome! I want to make sure I start with this disclaimer, I wrote this when I was young, so take it with a grain of salt please.

Family Affair
Hey everyone, I am going to start an on-going new series of critiques on old television shows that I grew up on back in the late sixties and the seventies. The first one is 'Family Affair' starring Brian Keith and Sebastian Cabot who played Mr. Bill Davis and Mr. French. This was the story of a bachelor uncle and his gentlemen's gentleman who was found to take care of his two nieces and a nephew. Many of the situations that being that this program was a situation comedy would cover subjects like how a single 'father' raised children to issues like the one that I just watched dealing with 'latchkey children'.

To Give Your Last Twenty
He walks oddly, shuffling and nearly tripping down the hallway toward his apartment door. I slow my pace, allowing my neighbor— a stuffy ex-marine with one missing tooth and a strong odor of liquor and two weeks' worth of unwashed stench always accompanying him—to reach his door. I crinkle my nose, nearly gagging as he dawdles ahead.

I love this and your call to action here. I’ve noticed that vocal is transformed when we find a group that we can share and evaluate work. I’d love to begin this journey with whoever likes here and ask for similar and raw honest critique of my stories as well. Encouragement is great and should be there but through honest critique we can find evolution and eclipse (damn this months challenge has me possessed lol) our current levels of writing.
