The term "gold digger," ruthlessly used and cringingly associated with women in this century, has now turned its attention toward a new narrative. Luckily, this new term has shown a mirror to many who consider women as mere financial assets. Now, the spotlight is on men as the real gold diggers in current trends. This piece will highlight some facts that paint men as more of gold diggers than women. If women are considered greedy creatures, men exhibit this trait in an even more pronounced way. But before we delve into details, let's define what exactly the term "gold digger" means—a person who forms a relationship with someone only to extract benefits or money, not out of love. Essentially, it sounds like an agenda to gain material goods. However, it's a gender-neutral behavior; both men and women can be gold diggers. Yet, why do we always associate this term with women? In my view, men have been labeled as gold diggers for centuries because they, too, choose their partners with certain considerations in mind. Let's explore these details further.

Why men is gold digger?

As an evident sign of the downfall of this century, my experiences have taught me how women are slandered by the term "gold digger," a falsified accusation often made by men. If we scrutinize men closely today, we may discover who is truly more driven by greed—men or women. While there is a common belief that women are primarily motivated by financial considerations, have we ever examined the greed of men and what they desire from their partners?

Men, in contemporary society, often have an extensive list of expectations. They seek a wife who is not only financially independent, earning a handsome salary each month, but also capable of sharing the responsibilities for the household's livelihood. Additionally, they desire a wife who presents a feminine appearance to the world, and they expect her to be completely dedicated to homemaking, nurturing their children, and maintaining an ideal household. In other words, men seek a picture-perfect partner for themselves.

In comparison, women's expectations often revolve around financial stability. A slightly disheveled appearance or a two-month belly doesn't typically bother women, but despite this, they are sometimes unjustly labeled as gold diggers. There was a time when couples formed based on mutual passion and love, but in our current generation, love seems to be the least important factor.

Plenty of the fish in the Sea

The more pathetic thing is the availability. Men believe there are plenty of fish in the sea, so they keep looking for better, believing they are superior creatures with the world at their knees. With this mindset, they consider they can choose whomever they want. If one relationship doesn't work out, they believe they have easy availability, so they keep looking until they find the most suitable partner that fits their criteria.

It's a wrong concept that men don't look at financial conditions; they do prioritize that first. The only thing today's men tend to ignore is the character of women. That's the least bothersome thing; looks and finances matter more. They label us as gold diggers, but if we are, they are hypocrites of the century. Not only women but men also need to check their consciousness; they are often more greedy than women. Before calling any woman a gold digger, look inside your character.

My best advice to women out there: try to show the mirror to the men around you. Somebody has to show them and say out loud that we are not gold diggers; we are more logical, unlike your hypocrisy
