Introduction

Spanish football player José Luis Espinosa Arroyo, better known by his stage name Tiri, was born on July 14, 1991. He plays as a centre back.

He made 90 appearances for three clubs in his own country, never playing higher than Segunda División B. He participated in over 100 games with ATK, Jamshedpur, and ATK Mohun Bagan in the Indian Super League, where he once held the record for most foreign caps in the league's history and won the championship with the first squad in 2016.

Career

On February 1st, 2016, Tiri rejoined Atlético Madrid and its B team. On March 16, he agreed to terms to return to Kolkata for the upcoming season, but before even taking the pitch for them.

Tiri started his career at Cádiz CF after being born in Los Barrios, Cádiz Province.[3] During his tenure, he spent most of his time in the reserves and only had two first-team appearances, the first of which came on May 10, 2009, when he was 17 years old and played the final 25 minutes of a 2-1 Segunda División B away victory against CD Guadalajara.[4]

At the Estadio Ramón de Carranza on September 1, 2010, Tiri played the entire 90 minutes in a 3-1 Copa del Rey home victory over CE L'Hospitalet.

In 2012, Tiri joined Atlético Madrid and was given a position on their third-tier B team. During his three-year tenure, he was the first choice; nevertheless, in his final season, he was demoted to the Tercera División.

ATK

On June 18, 2015, Tiri and fellow countryman Jaime Gavilán joined Borja Fernández and Josemi as new Spanish players for Indian Super League champions ATK. Arnab Mondal, who was overseas playing for India, missed their first two games of the season, and he made his debut on October 7 by playing the full 1-1 tie at FC Goa in his place. Tiri played for 1,170 minutes until being eliminated by Chennaiyin FC in the semifinals.

Back to ATK

During his second stint at the Salt Lake Stadium, Tiri participated in 11 games. One of those came in the ISL championship game, a triumph over Kerala Blasters FC on penalties on December 18, 2016, giving him his first league championship. The Indian Super League, a football league, had its third season since its founding in 2013 during the 2016 campaign. Again, there were eight teams in the season, and before the championship game, each team competed in 14 regular-season games. The regular season ran from October 1 through December 4, 2018. The finals got underway on December 10 and came to an end with the final on December 18. Chennaiyin entered the season as the reigning champions.

Atlético de Kolkata won the championship at the end of the season after defeating the Kerala Blasters 4-3 in the championship game's penalty shootout. 90 minutes and extra time later, the game had a final score of 1-1.

Marbella

On January 24, 2017, Tiri signed a contract with Marbella FC in his native Andalusia, bringing him back to Spain's third division.  He was dismissed in the second of his six games, a 2-1 home loss to Lorca FC.

In July 2017, Jamshedpur Tiri rejoined expansion team Jamshedpur FC to make a comeback to the Indian top division. He participated in every minute of their fifth-place finish, which was one spot short of the playoffs, and scored in a 3-2 home victory over Delhi Dynamos FC on January 21, 2018.

Mohun Bagan ATK

Tiri transferred to the recently merged ATK Mohun Bagan FC on September 12, 2020. On November 20, he made his official debut in a 1-0 away loss to Kerala Blasters.
