Sandesh Jinghan Biography:

He was born in the year 1993 on July 21st in Chandigarh. However, he made Kerala his second home. He is an international footballer who plays for the Indian National Team as a Centre back. He captained, the ISL team, Kerala Blasters and he won the Emerging Player of the year of ISL. In 2012-13, he played for United Sikkim and then moved to Mumbai I-League where he spent the next year. Then in 2014, Kerala Blasters signed him and made some loan moves to Bengaluru FC, DSK Shivajians, and Sporting Goa. He holds the record for making the most appearances for Blasters. And after 6 years with Blasters, he joined a club abroad.

1. He is part of the United Sikkim team which won the I-League 2nd Division of 2012.

2. He was part of the Blasters team which was the runner-up twice in the 2016 and 2014 ISL seasons.

4. He was awarded the Emerging player of the year 2014 by AIFF.

5. He became the 1st player to appear in 50 matches in ISL.

6. He appeared in 55 matches for the Blasters which is the most appearances for the club.

7. He was appointed as the new captain for Team India, in the absence of Chhetri and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. He led his side to 2 draws and 3 victories.

8. He gave his best with the national team in the AFC Asian Cup of 2019. India defeated Thailand 4-1 on that day.

as a result of his calf injury in his first training session, he has to wait a little longer to become India’s first international player, to play in Croatia’s top-tier Prva HNL League. Just 3 days after he was announced as the new member of the Croatian Club, he suffered an injury. The coach ruled out Haitian Christopher and Jinghan for injuries.

Haitian was on loan from Inter Milan. Julardzija and Mesa are out for the entire season. And Sahiti and Kvesic are doubtful. The coach says that they have to solve the paperwork for both Christopher and Sandesh, however that is not an excuse. Sandesh had an MRI done for his calf. The HNK Sibenik head coach, Mario, said that Sandesh will not be available for the selection due to a calf injury, in his first training session along with the team. According to the doctor’s statement, he might be available for training next week.

Jinghan was named the Indian footballer of the year 2020. He is also the first Indian international football player to join the Croatian top tier league Prva HNL after moving from ATK Mohun Bagan to HNK Sibenik. he played for United Sikkim in 2012-13 in the I-League and made 23 appearances and scored 2 goals. And in 2013-14 for Mumbai, he made 11 appearances and never scored a goal. Then when he played for Blasters in ISL from 2014 to 2019 he made 78 appearances and never scored a goal. Overall in his career, he made 172 appearances and scored 5 goals.

Sandesh Jinghan Skills:

On July 8th, 2017, Jinghan was retained by Kerala Blasters for the 2017-18 season, after he signed a long-term deal which made him the highest-paid player in the ISL. He was one of the 3 players who were retained by Blasters (the other 2 being Vineeth and Prashanth) and as a result of signing the agreement, he stayed with the club until 2020. He reportedly earned 38 million Rupees with Blasters. Then on November 16th, 2017, on the eve of Blaster's first match against ATK, Jinghan was made the captain of Kerala Blasters for the forthcoming season. He was the captain for the 2018-19 season.

And before the start of the 2019-20 season, he was ruled out due to an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury. Then on May 21st, 2020, Blasters had parted ways with Jinghan on mutual consent. As a tribute to his contributions to the club, Kerala Blasters had retained his jersey number 21. Then on September 26th, 2020, ATK announced they were signing Jinghan for a 5-year deal. He was made one of the five captains of the team. He appeared in all matches with ATK except for injuring himself in a collision with his goalkeeper in their match against Hyderabad. He returned to training in early October with HNK Sibenik, after a 2-month long injury. He appeared in a League match against Slaven Belupo on October 22nd. However, he never got any minutes because he was benched throughout the game. He was again benched in his next match against Hrvatski Dragovoljac on October 30th.
