MNM trio yet to perform their capabilities

With Lionel Messi forming a formidable attacking squad with Neymar and Mbappe, the trio has only started once but unfortunately none of the three was able to score as PSG ended with a 1-1 draw.

Lionel Messi is yet to record a goal to his name since his arrival to league 1 club Paris saint German, although the Argentine captain has made 3 appearances so far

However the was a scene at Parc de Princes when Mauricio Pochettino decided to introduce the full-back Achraf Hakimi and take off the Lionel Messi at the 75th minute of the game against their domestic rival Lyon at the time were still on a 1-1 draw. This decision surprised many spectators as the team needed all the best to put them ahead of the visitors

However, PSG still maintained their unbeaten record as Mauro Icardi scored at stoppage time giving them 3 points. The Persians has shown a great start in the new season as they stand on top of the league table with 5 points ahead of second-place Marseille

After the match, Pochettino told reporters that “We made the decision to take Messi off because of a possible future injury,"

Meanwhile, PSG will be making it’s first ever visit to Saudi Arabia in January 2022 as they play a friendly match In the Riyadh Season Cup.

The Riyadh Season cup is part of the events organized by the Saudi Arabian government to attract sport tourist. Its first edition was hosted in 2019 and it attracted over 10 million visitors.

In January 2022, PSG will be against a side consisting of players from Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Hilal and Al Nassr FC in the friendly match.

Just as Barcelona’s trio MSN (Messi, Suarez and Neymar) and Real Madrid’s BBC (Benzema, Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo) worked wonders in the field, PSG's new trio MNM (Messi, Neymar and Mbappe) are expected to form a formidable force to many defense line. But MNM trio only started once against Club Brugge in the champions league which ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw was None of the three forwards scored, with Ander Herrera being the unlikely source of their only goal.

Omar da Fonseca, a beIN Sports commentator said"[Georginio] Wijnaldum and [Leandro] Paredes were non-existent,” he continued by saying "If they want to play with these three forwards up front, PSG have to have midfielders who can handle the ball, with a certain idea of football.

"You can't expect them to be Xavi [Hernandez] or [Andres] Iniesta, but they need something else.
