The grammar of a family anywhere on the planet is the same. People were connected to each other by living under one roof with some cracks and problems that they conquer together. But is the family always bound by blood? Or is there more to the concept than just being born into a single lineage? The filmmakers are already trying their hand at this complex narrative and have succeeded as well. It is a very beautiful Pakistani film made by Shakun Batra or Kek's most recent Kapoor & Sons, Asim Abbasi.

The minute details added to the writing have a lot of heart. Arun, the father of the family played by Ether Manoj Bajpayee, is stubborn and attached to the house he is about to leave. While he wants to keep up with the world and embrace change, there is resistance. He is someone who has not yet accepted Gurgaon as Gurugram, so the change in homes is huge for him. Through this, we see the urbanisation of Delhi, the cost of living in a posh locality and how it burns pockets.

There's a big twist that can ruin your experience when it appears but handling it is so fragile in itself that it gets to the center of the emotional core. To support it from all sides, the makers will create a world that will have many parallel stories. Home helps in their separate eco-system and they are as important as any other member of the family. But they are also often reminded of their ability. There is a sarcasm on class divisions, class divisions, and even conservative thinking that is still evident in some.

Star Performance By Manoj Bajpayee & Sharmila Tagore

Sharmila Tagore has returned to our screens after more than a decade and it is a great pleasure to see her spread her majestic magic again. There's still a lot in which she performs the most complex of scenes and you can see the experience she goes along with.

Talking about the experience, Manoj Bajpayee's performance can never be bad. The actor continues to surprise only with Gulmohar where he has got the most complex role to play. He is a man struggling with anxiety seeing his entire existence fall in an instant. The way he handles this character is art that only actors of his ability have.

Rahul Chittela finds all the right people to work on his project. Everyone knows what they are expected to do and make this product a beautiful watch. As a filmmaker, he is true to his story and never gets distracted by it to tell more or less anything. Yes, there is a place for a lot of laxity and deep diving into these complex stories but that doesn't make the experience bitter.

The most interesting choice here is the choice of the composer. Siddharth Khosla, widely known for his impeccable work in the precious gift of God of the show This Is Us with Alan Demos, makes a soundtrack so unique and perfect that it adds a lot to the entire product.

Gulmohar is an individual film that talks about families and what makes them. Maybe put your critical eyes aside and try it out, it will only shake you.
