This EGO thing...

We all need the ego to ensure our survival.

A question always comes to mind when I hear people talking about the ego as if it were something negative and harmful.

I believe that the Divine Creator did not conceive anything absolutely useless or unnecessary.

We all need the ego to ensure our survival. In moments of danger, the survival instinct is our chance to emerge unharmed or at least alive.

The problem is, as with everything in life, the lack of balance. I will try to make an analogy to better explain the reasoning.

We could compare the ego to a bodyguard. He follows us attentively to act in risk situations, reasoning logically when this is required. Safeguarding our health and physical integrity, and even emotional integrity.

However, if it becomes unbalanced, it is at that moment that the broth spills.

An unbalanced ego would be as if the bodyguard took the lead in our lives, which would end up canceling us out. Our true identity would be hidden under the justification of pseudo protection.

And that's what we see today. People with an inflated ego, pretending to be something they are not, and often even believing in this fantasy.

And if we stop to reflect on this, what can we notice?

Behind these characters are emotionally fragile people. People with such low self-esteem that they need to rely on the image of power and control to support their own existence.

As a rule, they are those people who are feared, but not respected and much less loved.

Although they often live surrounded by minions and sycophants and material wealth, they live a miserable and empty existence.

They are devoured daily by a vanity that consumes their souls. No achievement gives them true pleasure or joy, because deep down, in that place where only each of us can access... they know, and how they know, that they are not worthy.

Even if they pretend, they are acutely aware of the superficiality of their lives and relationships.

Certainly, this must cause immeasurable pain, and the weight of a sad and superfluous existence.

As I have said in other texts, I still believe that there is nothing more beautiful and sophisticated than simplicity. There is nothing more comforting than feeling comfortable in your own skin. Nothing more elegant than being able to showcase your own essence.

This is a reflection that we need to constantly do, since we are all vulnerable to such imbalances.

Every now and then it is necessary to face the mirror of our soul and evaluate which outfit we are wearing. Whether we are dressed in our choices, for ourselves or to please the outside world.

And if necessary, change your style, take back control and dress with your purest and most genuine nature.

After all, everything you need most is within you.

Currently, I look at humanity not as eternally dissatisfied, but as a child that has not matured.

The lack of moral and affective values makes this part of humanity insensitive and incapable of reasoning coherently and even intelligently.

Although they apparently have control over the masses, they are gradually being destroyed and eroded by their own irresponsibility.

Lucidity is revealing the veils of human immaturity. And every day, more beings awaken to their mission and purpose on the journey towards the great outcome.

The cycles are ending. Those who take advantage will receive a diploma and will participate in the grand celebration of evolution.

Unfortunately, those who fail, the stubborn and cruel crowd, will receive their punishment, the uncomfortable corner and an extremely long time to reflect and understand that darkness is just and only the absence of light. And that light is the destiny of all humanity, at some point in eternity.
