The Strawberry Chapter 21

Seeds of advice

By Katherine Aguilar

The Strawberry began with one generation passing the seed to the next. Since I have no children, the seeds I have gathered—whether received or encountered—are not for me alone. In this book, the 'seeds' represent advice and wisdom, which I now share with the world. By scattering these seeds through my stories, I hope others will take them, plant them, and see them grow in someone else. I do not keep all the seeds I have received for myself; I share them so that their growth continues.

If I keep these seeds—this advice and wisdom—for myself, they will die with me when I am gone. That would waste their potential to help others who might need the advice or insight I have to offer. Sharing these seeds allows them to help others grow.

Friendship

This chapter goes over watching a seed growing over time and being a part of the growth. In youth, we all pass people in our lives, we will never meet again, or we meet every so often in our lifetime again. But those people have become a family because their friendship is true. While in college, I have met my sisters. Not in blood but in friendship. For all of life's tribulations and happiness. They have been there more with me through the steps of time. We have talked, laughed, vented, and cried. We sister I have lives across the world on different sides of the world. Still, we hold a strong friendship that we have built over the years. We are sisters. No judgment or discouragement crosses our lips, only support for each other. Started as young sisters and now have gotten gray hair. All fighting the gray hair. We can not fight the hand of time. We have the memories of the past creating new memories of the present. Now sharing family stories and life. To hear about marriages, future grandchildren. New friends expanding the friendship circle.

I am grateful to have my sisters I let them know I was writing a book and they gave me a they are all gave me a thumbs up!

Seeing the seed of friendship grow in time is a true treasure.

Legacy

Every generation has a person who has inspired them, either from their family or a famous person. Who the person may be, keep in mind that the person is human, and they have made mistakes. They have fallen and gotten up many times.

If a person over the years has inspired generations legacy can not be removed by taking their names of building for building are torn down over time. A building is always renamed for the good and the bad. It is how history has played itself. A legacy is what did that person did to change the world while they were alive to affect others across the world. Those effects carry now to generations now and those not even born. People do not need to see a name on a building or a history book to know that a person made a difference while they were here. One name ends another's is to start. This generation does not have that. The names that have stood the test of time are in the bible. The manual of life.

Be the new legacy this generation hungers for.

Leave a foodprint in your walk of life.

Why

A lot of your lifetime can be spent asking the word “Why.” It is one of the most worthless words in the dictionary. If you have plenty of time to waste, keep asking “Why?”

Every time a person asks why, the answer that the person receives will always be the same. Whether it's a few minutes later or fifteen minutes later. Repeatedly asking why while not changing the reply. It will always be the same. May be reworded. But still the same.

Whatever may or may not have happened will not be changed by asking” Why?” It will take time away from other items in your life, which will enrich or offer more closure to you than focusing on something that can not be changed.
