The Silence After You Left
A short emotional poem about losing a friend and living with the emptiness they left behind

I lost my friend,
and the world lost its color.
Now every laugh feels far away,
like it never truly belonged to me.
Even the streets we walked feel empty,
as if they are searching for your steps again.
I still wait for your voice in silence,
for a message that will never come back.
But silence only answers with pain,
and nights stretch longer without your name.
Memories come like broken glass,
cutting the heart that still whispers stay.
Every piece reminds me of what I lost,
every second repeats the word never.
And I smile… but it is only empty,
a mask I wear to hide the storm.
Because part of me went with my friend,
and I am still learning how to live with the void.
