THE PHOTO THAT CHANGED EVERY NIGHT
Every morning, the picture was different.

At 6:30 a.m., Ethan woke up to the sound of his phone vibrating.
He reached for it without opening his eyes.
One new photo.
No message.
He opened it.
It was a photograph of his bedroom.
Taken from the corner near his closet.
Ethan frowned.
He lived alone.
The photo had clearly been taken while he was sleeping.
He immediately checked the room.
Nothing.
He locked his phone and tried to forget about it.
The next morning, another photo appeared.
This time, he was standing in front of his bathroom mirror.
But Ethan had never taken that picture.
He checked the photo details.
Taken at 3:12 a.m.
He stared at the timestamp.
He didn't remember waking up.
That night, Ethan placed his phone on the kitchen table and went to bed.
At 3:12 a.m., he woke suddenly.
His bedroom door was open.
He was certain he had closed it.
He grabbed his phone.
A new photo.
It showed him sitting on his bed.
Ethan looked at the picture.
Then looked around the room.
Nobody.
He turned the phone over.
Another vibration.
A second photo appeared.
This one showed the hallway.
At the end of it stood a dark figure.
Ethan slowly looked toward the hallway.
The figure was there.
He stopped breathing.
It was standing perfectly still.
Then his phone vibrated again.
A message appeared.
Unknown Number:
Don't look away.
Ethan's eyes filled with tears.
He kept staring.
The figure slowly raised one hand.
Then pointed toward the phone.
Another message appeared.
You're almost ready.
Ethan whispered:
“Ready for what?”
The figure disappeared.
The hallway was empty.
Ethan ran outside and called the police.
They searched the house.
Nothing.
No footprints.
No cameras.
No explanation.
The next morning, Ethan woke up in a hospital.
His sister was sitting beside him.
“You collapsed outside your house,” she said.
Ethan reached for his phone.
There was one new photograph.
He opened it.
His heart stopped.
It showed his hospital room.
His sister was sitting beside him.
The photograph had been taken ten minutes in the future.
Ethan stared at the picture.
Then he noticed something.
In the photograph, his sister wasn't looking at him.
She was looking directly at the camera.
And she was smiling.
Ethan slowly turned toward her.
She stopped smiling.
His phone vibrated.
Unknown Number:
Tomorrow, you finally find out who has been taking the pictures.
Ethan looked at the screen.
Then another message appeared.
It's been you.
