Today:

Walking back to his car in pure darkness, almost is if the moon was displeased, with his actions. He could hardly see its gleam thru the tall forest trees. He was sure nobody had seen him pull off the road. He driven out pretty far past his town, the last sign said Micheals Burgs, & he knew that would give him at least a couple months before the Sheriff of his town even looked in that direction. By that time, the animals would have feasted on the remains and no evidence would be left, she would remain missing.

Like his father always said, "the best criminals were harder to catch when they left things, like a puzzle". Law enforcement was lazy in his town they wouldn't waste too much time or resources, trying to sort thru his maze, they never did before. He would travel up the road in the opposite direction towards the bridge In Johnny Creek, there he would drop the shovel & her clothes. The knife, clutched tightly in his hands, he contemplated on keeping it. Her blood still stained the handle of the blade. Partly he felt a little bit of remorse, she was young and beautiful. Full curls flowing to her shoulders, soft honey colored skin & captivating hazel eyes. Now forever the 7th missing college student. "She will be my last", he thought. "I'll control the urge, take the medicine and calm my mind, & silence the voices for once". Wrapping the knife in a towel from his back seat, the whole car smelled like her. The lavender perfume, her fear, her last breath; even the scent of her blood excited him still, maybe he should have kept her awhile longer.
Perhaps he should've took her back to his home, made her forgive him then just let her go and let her live!

Two Weeks ago:

The red dress was too sparkly, but the blue was too long. Keshay wanted to give a statement, like she's back on the market but not giving up the cookie in one night. She went into her walk-in closet to decide next on shoes completely ignoring her phone ringing because she knew it was either her friend Lisa asking for the millionth time, when she'll be ready to go or it was her newly ex-boyfriend DeShawn. Either way, picking shoes was on her priority list!

Back on campus, Lisa was already to go! Crop top, black leather mini skirt and her platform shoes she only wore once. It took about 2hours to wash and straighten her thick curls, so she knew Keshay had to be ready by now. Lisa dialed her besties phone again just to make sure she hadn't decided at the last minute not to go! Although she would be sad, she would understand her bestie's decision. Keshay just had a horrible break up with DeShawn. They been together since senior year of high school and all 3 years of college, now things were changing. It was weird but it was for the best, DeShawn was a damn idiot! 1st cheating, now get violent with her because Keshay wanted to end their relationship; after the finding out about his night with the "Elizabeth". Liz with literally the campus toilet, everyone had taken a seat, even some girls and she has no shame in her game!

Lisa stomach slowly formed a knot, this was the 4th time calling and last time Keshay didn't pick up, she was on the hospital because DeShawn pushed her down the dorm stairs, when she tried to leave.
Lisa's mind began racing, would she really let him over to her new apartment? Or did he figure out she moved off campus on his own, maybe they shouldn't go out!

Maybe she should change her shoes, in case she had to step to this man child, while they tried to enjoy the spring break vacation!
Looking up at her mirror cover in sticky note affirmations, she knew to just breathe and keep thinking positively! "The night will be a success" she whispered out aloud, and knowing her bestie she was probably still trying figure out what shoes matched best with her fit.

On Keshay's block:

Deshawn, leaned back in his dark blue SUV, this family don't have it like that financially, but it was a gift from his uncle for making it through, to the 3rd year of college! At this rate he would finally be the 1st person in this family to graduate both high school and college! DeShawn has been the golden boy of family, he enjoyed sports, but he really was a book worm, his plans was to be an educator and tutor for high school kids! Thanks to his recent impulses that dream might be over, now he had something on record, and finally joined the typical stereotype of the black man. His whole family had a record from one thing or another, even his mom! Deshawn didn't care how hard it took, he was going to prove to them and his self, no matter where you come from, try your best and make a difference.

Thinking "Steve & Joseph told me the saw Keshay and Lisa packing up while I was locked up'. Nobody believes me, I didn't mean to push her! I'd been a little stressed with finals and financial aid was denied for next year, so what I had more Remy than one man should drink". "I've love Keshay, since 3rd grade never had the courage to tell her till high school. Elizabeth meant nothing, man she gives it to everyone, I guess that's not much of a good excuse but and I wasn't thinking straight. It's like Keshay don't want to listen to shit! I just need one more chance to talk to her and then I'll leave her alone. It will hurt to let her go, but I'll try. "

Keshay's Apartment:

There was a loud Knock at the door, right when Keshay had finally found the perfect fit, & shoes to match! She was looking good, feeling good and smelling good! Wearing her favorite butterfly kisses, lavender scented perfume, from bath and body works. "Lisaaaaaa Misaaaaa, not you got tired of calling so you just pulled up ", Keshay shouted as she went down the stairs to open the front door. Her bestie Lisa was known for pop ups, they have been friends since 8th grade so it's nothing new. Keshay didn't even think to check the peephole, only two people had her new address since she moved off campus. Besides deputy Bradley Washington Jr, at the sheriff's department; in case they needed more details on her domestic violence case, it was her bestie, Lisa.

Keshay unlocked the door and flung it open ready to crack a joke about Lisa being thirsty to pop out for spring break. She was surprised to see him standing there, with a disappointed facial expression. All Keshay could say was " What are you doing here"!?
