The Clockmaker’s Secret
Time doesn’t heal all wounds — it just hides them better.

In a fog-covered town, there stood a tiny clock shop that only opened after midnight. No one knew the old clockmaker’s name, but they said his clocks could fix anything — grief, heartbreak, even regret.
When a grieving woman named Clara brought him her late husband’s pocket watch, he opened it and smiled sadly. “Ah,” he said. “This one still ticks for him.”
He gave it back after one week, and when she opened it, she heard her husband’s voice faintly whispering, “It’s all right now.”
The next day, she returned to thank him — but the shop was gone. In its place was an empty alley, and the sound of hundreds of clocks ticking softly, unseen.
The climax: Years later, when Clara died, they found the pocket watch on her bedside table, still running perfectly, counting time backward.
