The Real-world of a Little Girl II
The little girl could barely sleep that night. Again and again, she was worried about her grandfather, and she must have barely dreamed. In which her life appeared purposeful and full of happiness. But soon it was morning, and for the first time in a long interval, the sun was shining on the horizon. As soon as Elicia woke up, her eyes first went to the walls of the room, but today there were no pictures there. Then her eyes went to a corner of the room, where her grandfather was lying in a disheveled state. His clothes and shoes were completely soaked, fruits and other food items were scattered around him, and his body had stiffened completely from the cold as if he had turned into a large block of ice. His body had turned cold; both of his hands were stained with colors, and small cans of paint were scattered around him. It was as if he wanted to create a picture even in his final moments as if he wanted to capture Elicia’s last dream on the walls forever. But he passed away while making his final attempt. He had to give up his life while searching for food on that stormy night, and due to the dreadful cold outside, he succumbed to death. Elicia went close to him and made many attempts to wake her grandfather up, but all her efforts were in vain. A serene aura had spread across her grandfather’s face; he had become completely peaceful, forever. There were no emotions left on the innocent face of that little girl. Tears were dripping from her eyes, but she couldn’t muster the courage to cry. Her sobs began to echo in the room. Her life was now filled with pain, loneliness, emptiness, and isolation. She looked at his paint-stained hands, and while sobbing, the little girl said, “God is dead, God is dead.” She covered her deceased grandfather’s body with a blanket. Then she heard the sound of a bird flapping its wings, which drew her attention. She immediately ran outside. The same white, radiant swan was standing there, spreading its large wings. For a while, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. She rubbed her eyes and carefully looked at the swan. It was real; it was indeed the same white swan she had seen in her dream. Elicia slowly approached it; there was a special kind of compassion and sympathy in the swan’s beautiful, shiny, and captivating eyes. Elicia gently caressed its neck with her soft hands, and the swan calmly lowered its neck as if inviting the little girl to ride on it. Elicia quickly climbed onto it, and the swan began to move its large wings, and within moments, it flew up into the sky. Elicia held onto its neck, peacefully enjoying the most unique and wonderful moments of her life. She had gone far away from the place where she had lost her world. After a magnificent and very long journey, the shining swan took Elicia to a vast forest where many animals were already gathered. As soon as Elicia arrived, all the animals greeted her with their tearful eyes and loving gazes. And the swan had already left. A giant white bear came near her, and Elicia quickly climbed onto it. The bear entered the vast forest, with all the other animals following behind. As darkness fell, they all gathered by the riverside. The white bear lifted Elicia and placed her on a thick branch of a tree. Elicia burst into laughter then. A sharp smile appeared on her lips, her first smile in life. For the first time, she realized that she could laugh. Now she started laughing even louder, and the animals behind her started laughing too. On that moonlit night, the laughter of a little princess echoed throughout the forest. Happiness came to Elicia like a priceless treasure.
