Autobiography
A Teenagers View
I am only 16 years old, yet I have questioned these exact things countless times. I have looked into the mirror, and not known who or what I really saw. You may be thinking ‘thats natural for a teenager, they are bound to question themselves because that is the process of finding yourself’ and maybe your right. Maybe this was me finding out what made me, me. Or maybe this was a young girl questioning every aspect of her human soul. Finding every flaw, every problem and destroying any hope she had or would ever have for humanity and for the world.

Linus
LINUS June 4, 2023 Today I woke up from a sleep and the sun was on my face and I remembered I had a new dream. It was the same but different from other dreams because I was running really fast like I always do but it was different because I felt really light and also because I talked to a rabbit creature and rabbit creature gave me a message and this is new. I cannot tell you what it is just yet because it was a secret, and even though it was a dream secret I know I need to keep it a secret in awake time too. Also I called out a name- a name is what you call something- like my name is Linus like I told you, and also Bubba and Bubs in case you forgot. But I called out Charlie and that is weird because I don’t know a Charlie but sometimes Mom says, “Linus, like from Charlie Brown” so it must be that. Also she says, “He carries around a blue blanket like Linus from Charlie Brown, and I didn’t even train him to do that, it is so perfect!” I want to tell her that I carry a blue blanket because she only gets me blue ones but she seems so pleased by it so I wouldn’t correct her even if I could. That is how much I love Mom.

The Adventure of Life:
## Chapter 1: The Beginning In a quaint little town nestled between rolling hills and a serene river, lived a boy named Sam. From a young age, Sam was captivated by the world beyond his small town. His father, a fisherman, would often tell him tales of the open sea and the adventures it held. Sam's eyes would light up with wonder as he imagined himself sailing across vast oceans, discovering uncharted lands, and meeting people from different cultures. Sam's mother, a gentle woman with a heart full of love, nurtured his dreams. She encouraged him to explore, to question, and to seek out his own path in life. Her belief in him was unwavering, and it fueled his desire to embark on his own adventure. ## Chapter 2: Setting Sail On his eighteenth birthday, with a heavy heart but a determined spirit, Sam bid farewell to his family and set off on his journey. He had saved every penny he earned from odd jobs around town to buy a small, weathered boat. It wasn't much, but to Sam, it was the vessel that would carry him to his dreams. The first few days at sea were exhilarating. The wind in his hair, the salt on his skin, and the endless horizon before him filled Sam with a sense of freedom he had never known. But as days turned into weeks, the reality of his journey set in. The sea was unforgiving, and the loneliness was a constant companion. One stormy night, as waves crashed against his boat, Sam found himself questioning his decision. The relentless storm seemed to mirror the turmoil in his heart. He clung to the hope that there was a purpose to his journey, that the adventure of life was worth the struggles. ## Chapter 3: The Island After weeks of battling the elements, Sam's boat washed ashore on a mysterious island. Exhausted but relieved, he stumbled onto the sandy beach and collapsed. When he awoke, he found himself surrounded by lush vegetation and the sounds of exotic birds. The island was a paradise, a stark contrast to the treacherous sea. As he explored, Sam discovered a small village hidden in the heart of the island. The villagers welcomed him with open arms, and he quickly became part of their community. They taught him their ways, their traditions, and their language. In return, Sam shared stories of his homeland and the adventures he longed for. Among the villagers was a young woman named Aisha. She had an adventurous spirit much like Sam's, and the two quickly formed a bond. They spent their days exploring the island, climbing trees, and swimming in crystal-clear lagoons. For the first time in a long while, Sam felt a sense of belonging and peace. ## Chapter 4: Love and Loss Sam and Aisha's friendship blossomed into love. They were inseparable, finding joy in the simplest of moments. Their love story was like a fairytale, filled with laughter, shared dreams, and the promise of forever. However, life has a way of testing even the strongest of bonds. One fateful day, a sudden illness swept through the village. Aisha fell gravely ill, and despite the villagers' best efforts, her condition worsened. Sam was devastated. He watched helplessly as the love of his life slipped away, leaving him with a heart full of sorrow. In her final moments, Aisha held Sam's hand and whispered, "Don't lose hope, Sam. Life is an adventure, and every journey has its own meaning. Remember our dreams, and let them guide you." ## Chapter 5: The Healing Aisha's death left a void in Sam's heart. He wandered the island aimlessly, consumed by grief. The vibrant paradise that once brought him joy now felt empty and desolate. The villagers, who had become his second family, tried to console him, but the pain was too deep. One day, as Sam sat by the shore, a young girl from the village approached him. Her name was Lila, and she reminded him of Aisha with her bright eyes and adventurous spirit. Lila handed Sam a small, intricately carved wooden box. Inside, he found a letter from Aisha. "Dear Sam," the letter read. "I know you're hurting, and I wish I could be there to hold your hand through this. But remember, our love is eternal. It lives on in the memories we created and the dreams we shared. Find strength in those memories and let them guide you on your journey. Life is an adventure, Sam, and there's still so much for you to discover. With all my love, Aisha." The letter was a lifeline for Sam. He realized that while Aisha was gone, her love and the memories they shared would always be a part of him. He found solace in knowing that she wanted him to continue his journey, to live fully and embrace the adventure of life. ## Chapter 6: A New Beginning With renewed determination, Sam decided to leave the island and continue his voyage. The villagers bid him farewell with heavy hearts, but they understood his need to follow his dreams. Lila, the young girl who had given him Aisha's letter, gifted him a compass. "This will guide you, just like Aisha's love," she said with a smile. Sam set sail once more, this time with a heart full of hope and a sense of purpose. The sea, which had once seemed so daunting, now felt like a vast expanse of possibilities. He navigated through uncharted waters, discovering new lands and cultures. Each new encounter, each new friendship, was a testament to the adventure of life. Years passed, and Sam became a seasoned sailor. His journeys took him to places he had only dreamed of as a boy. He climbed mountains, sailed through stormy seas, and explored bustling cities. Along the way, he met people who shared their own stories of love, loss, and hope. Each story was a reminder of the beauty and complexity of life. ## Chapter 7: Coming Home As Sam grew older, he felt a longing to return to his hometown. The little village by the river, where his adventure had begun, called to him. He wanted to see his parents, to share his stories with them, and to find solace in the familiar. When Sam finally returned home, he was greeted with open arms. His parents, now older but still full of love, listened eagerly as he recounted his adventures. The townspeople, who had watched him grow up, were amazed by the tales he shared. Sam's journey had come full circle, and he felt a deep sense of fulfillment. One evening, as he sat by the river with his parents, Sam looked at the horizon and reflected on his life. The adventure had been filled with highs and lows, with love and loss, but through it all, he had never lost hope. Aisha's words had guided him, and he had lived a life rich with experiences. ## Chapter 8: Legacy Sam spent his remaining years sharing his stories with the next generation. He became a mentor to young dreamers, encouraging them to embark on their own adventures. He told them about the beauty of the world, the importance of resilience, and the power of love. One day, a young boy named Leo approached Sam with a familiar gleam in his eyes. "I want to be an adventurer like you," Leo said. Sam smiled and handed him the compass that Lila had given him years ago. "This will guide you," he said. "But remember, the true adventure is in your heart. Follow your dreams, and let love and hope be your compass." As Sam watched Leo set off on his own journey, he felt a profound sense of peace. The adventure of life was ongoing, a never-ending story passed from one generation to the next. Sam knew that while his time on this earth was limited, his spirit would live on in the dreams and adventures of those he had inspired. ## Epilogue: The Endless Horizon Sam passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. His life had been an extraordinary adventure, filled with moments of joy, heartache, and discovery. He had lived fully, embracing each experience with an open heart. The townspeople honored Sam's legacy by erecting a statue by the river, depicting him with a compass in hand, looking toward the horizon. It served as a reminder that life is an adventure, and that love and hope can guide us through even the darkest of times. Leo, now a young man, stood by the statue, holding the compass Sam had given him. He felt a deep connection to the man who had inspired him to dream. As he looked at the endless horizon, Leo knew that his own adventure was just beginning, and that Sam's spirit would always be with him. And so, the adventure of life continued, a tapestry of dreams and experiences, woven together by the enduring threads of love and hope.

Family
**A New Beginning** It was a crisp autumn morning when the Johnson family finally moved into their new home. After months of planning, packing, and a few heated arguments, the day had arrived. The old farmhouse stood proudly at the edge of a small town, its white paint slightly weathered but charming nonetheless. Emily and David Johnson, along with their two children, Sarah and Jake, were ready to start a new chapter of their lives. Emily, a writer, had always dreamed of living in a house like this, surrounded by nature and history. She envisioned herself sitting by the large bay window, sipping tea, and penning her next novel. David, a teacher, shared her excitement but also felt a sense of responsibility. The move was his idea, prompted by a job offer at the local high school. He hoped the change would be good for the whole family, especially the kids. Sarah, a thirteen-year-old with a penchant for music, and Jake, a ten-year-old science enthusiast, had mixed feelings about the move. Leaving behind their friends and the only home they had known was tough. The new house, however, had a sense of adventure about it, and they were eager to explore every nook and cranny. The first few days were a whirlwind of unpacking and settling in. Emily found herself drawn to the attic, where old trunks and forgotten treasures hinted at the lives of those who had lived there before. She spent hours sorting through dusty books and faded photographs, imagining the stories they held. David, meanwhile, took charge of the practical tasks—setting up the internet, fixing leaky faucets, and making sure the kids were comfortable in their new rooms. Sarah set up her keyboard in the living room, filling the house with the sound of her music. It was her way of coping with the change, and it brought a sense of familiarity to the new environment. Jake, on the other hand, was fascinated by the large backyard, which stretched into a small wooded area. He spent his days collecting rocks, examining insects, and dreaming of building a treehouse. As weeks turned into months, the Johnsons began to feel more at home. They discovered a local farmers’ market where they bought fresh produce and homemade jams. Emily joined a book club at the town library, finding a community of fellow readers and writers. David settled into his new role at the high school, quickly becoming a favorite among his students. One evening, as the family sat around the dinner table, David suggested they host a Thanksgiving dinner and invite their new neighbors. It was a bold idea, considering they were still newcomers themselves, but it felt like the right way to cement their place in the community. Emily loved the idea and immediately began planning the menu. Sarah and Jake were tasked with creating homemade invitations, which they delivered to the neighbors with great excitement. On the day of the dinner, the house buzzed with activity. The table was set with Emily’s grandmother’s china, and the aroma of roasted turkey and baked pies filled the air. Neighbors started arriving, bringing dishes to share and warm smiles. There was Mr. Thompson, the elderly man who lived next door, and the Bakers, a young couple with a toddler. The Sanders family, who owned the local bakery, brought a basket of fresh bread and pastries. The evening was filled with laughter, stories, and a sense of camaraderie. As they sat around the table, David raised his glass and made a toast. “To new beginnings,” he said, looking at his family and their new friends. “We’re grateful to be here, and we look forward to many more gatherings like this.” The months that followed brought their own challenges and joys. Emily’s writing flourished in the new setting, and she found inspiration in the stories of the people around her. David continued to make a difference in his students’ lives, often bringing home tales of their achievements and struggles. Sarah joined the school band and made new friends, while Jake’s treehouse project became a reality, with the help of some handy neighbors. One day, as Emily was walking through the town square, she noticed a flyer for a local storytelling competition. The theme was “Family,” and she immediately thought of their journey to the farmhouse and the life they had built there. Encouraged by David and the kids, she decided to enter. Emily spent weeks crafting her story, pouring her heart into every word. She wrote about the challenges of moving, the joy of finding a new community, and the love that bound them together through it all. When the day of the competition arrived, the family gathered at the town hall, nervous but excited. As Emily took the stage, she glanced at David, Sarah, and Jake sitting in the front row. Their smiles gave her the courage she needed. She began to read, her voice steady and clear, recounting their story with honesty and emotion. The audience was captivated, laughing at the humorous moments and nodding in understanding at the poignant ones. When she finished, there was a moment of silence before the applause erupted. Emily’s heart swelled with pride and gratitude. She had told their story, not just as a writer but as a mother, a wife, and a member of a new community. The Johnson family didn’t win the competition, but that didn’t matter. What mattered was that they had shared their journey and connected with others in a meaningful way. As they walked home that evening, hand in hand, they knew they had found something special in their new beginning. Life in the farmhouse continued to be a blend of the old and new, with each day bringing its own adventures and challenges. The Johnsons embraced it all, knowing that, no matter what, they had each other. And in the end, that was the true meaning of family.

To the ones healing their darkest fragments
To the ones healing their darkest fragments Today I choose not to poetically quote the light that we need to embrace in order to see the best parts of ourselves. I do not wish to romanticise the goodness present in life. Today I want to talk about the darkness of the existence we forge our essence in—the dreariest moments of our soul that cause misery. The loneliness that mitigates the sanguinity we hold for a better tomorrow I am a writer, and we are often accused of overexemplifying the beauty of life and light. But light can only exist if we rotate and oscillate between shades of grey, between the darkness and the looming shadows that hollow us from inside.
