One day during summer vacation, a 10-year-old boy named Minh came to visit his grandfather. The boy spent all his time playing with him. After a few days he told him:

"When I grow up, I want to be a successful man. Can you tell me some ways to become a successful man?"

Grandpa nodded and said: "Okay."

Then, he took little Minh to a nearby nursery. From the nursery, little Minh's grandfather bought two small trees and when he got home, he planted one tree in a pot and kept it inside the house, and the other tree was planted outside the house. He asked the boy:

"Which of these two plants do you think will grow better in the future?"

Little Minh thought for a moment and then said: "Indoor plants will grow better because they are safe from all dangers, while outside plants face many dangers such as harsh sunlight, storms, animals, etc."

Grandpa smiled and said, "Let's see what happens in the future."

After four years passed, little Minh returned to visit his grandfather. When he met his grandfather, the boy said: "Grandpa, last time I asked you for some ways to become a successful person but you didn't say anything. This time, you have to tell me."

Grandpa smiled and said: "Sure. But first, let's look at the trees we planted a few years ago."

He led little Minh to a small tree planted in a pot. Both people saw that the tree had grown into a small tree. Then, he led the boy to the tree planted outside. They saw a huge tree standing tall, with spreading branches and leaves, providing shade for passersby. Grandfather looked at the boy and asked:

"Tell me which tree grows more? Which tree is more successful?"

Little Minh replied: "The tree we planted outside."

But the boy was surprised and wondered: "Grandpa, how could that be possible? That tree must have faced many dangers but it was still so big."

Grandfather smiled and said: "Yes, the tree outside faces many difficulties but that also brings benefits. Outside, it has the freedom to spread its roots as much as it wants.

Problems like storms make it stronger. Today, it has become so strong that a small storm cannot harm it. Grandson, what I want to tell you is, if you always choose comfort, you will not be able to develop to your potential.

If you are ready to face this world, despite all the dangers, then there is no goal that you cannot achieve. Don't think of problems as barriers, but think of them as steps toward success."

The boy took a deep breath and stared at the tree, and he understood his grandfather's words.

The obstacles that we consider enemies in life are the factors that make us stronger and more successful. Life is like a grand adventure, filled with twists and turns that seem like obstacles, but are actually puzzles waiting to be solved.

Just like when playing a game, the fun part is figuring out how to overcome the challenges. Life happens in a similar way; Every obstacle is an opportunity to learn, grow and become stronger. Don't let barriers discourage you.

Embrace them, deal with them and watch yourself progress in the game of life. You've got the determination, skills and spirit to conquer anything that comes your way.
