Circuitry came to life. The hard drive permitted Lisa the chance to realize her dreams again. By making them into serious reality, she ensured she could rebuild her fortune made by the site. She had already saved from her adventures with Loreen and that would’ve been her only financial out in all of this.

She looked at Devlin.

“We’re going to do this together. I want you to have thirty percent.”

Devlin’s eyes narrowed. “That’s not why I’m here. I want you selfishly and want to make sure you're safe and cognizant of the brutes. I want you to focus on the work which makes you happy. That makes me happy.”

Lisa rose to kiss Devlin’s mouth. “I’ll find some way of repaying you for being right by my side.”

“You can always continue to be your own Businessgirl, and I’ll support that. I’ve got my money. I don’t need yours. The payment is in knowing you’ll be safe and able to get your own dollars.”

Lisa looked at the screen loading. Now, all of this could have been in a bevy of servers but she chose the harddrive.

“The first thing we can do is get you online through a computer bank in Dover. It was part of the air base, but it was converted some years ago,” Devlin explained.

“I had hoped you would say that.”

The hard drive then showed data on the screen. Everything had been restored. Something, though, snuck into Lisa’s soul. Somewhere out there, there still existed someone who wanted to steal and lie against her and her company. The cold feeling wrapped around her being and infected her.

“I know you’re worried,” Devlin admitted.

“I am.”

“You shouldn’t be. The Delaware Bureau of Investigation is on this case. Everything will be handled well.”
