As the Chemical Capital of the World, Delaware provided Loreen and Lisa the ability to show their powers of the mind. They met the CEO of Mercier, the preeminent producer of products that facilitated life.

“Mr. Gowman, it’s a pleasure,” Loreen greeted the top executive. Lisa shook his hand vigorously and with sincerity.

“Now, let’s get to it…this company made the state the powerhouse it is because of those men and women who made certain products household names. Now that the numbers have slid a bit, it is important to show how four companies can function.”

“That’s our goal,” Gowman admitted.

“Yes, start signing business plans and have them available for your other executives to look over,” Lisa said.

“With this quarter mentality, you will yield more productiveness than ever before,” Loreen pointed out.

“Yes, we have all of this in order. I just don’t think it will be profitable.”

“With the advent of new technologies like AI and learned machines, it is within us to keep challenging ourselves to meet the demands of the future.” Gowman looked down and chuckled. “I mean I heard it, but I didn’t believe it. When it was first proposed to me, I didn’t want to hear it. Now, it’s crystalline.”

Lisa and Loreen beamed.

“This business will be a revolutionary force not only in Delaware but for America and the world. If we can just harness your brainpower from both of you, we will have a chance at making Mercier the top chemical company again. What do you say about positions here?”

Lisa and Loreen looked at each other.

“We thank you for the offer, but we’re really freelancers by trade. And thank you for the eight figure deposits in our accounts. They’re much appreciated.”

Gowman picked his head up and smiled. “Thanks.”
